Re: FREE Kindle E-book - "Sleep: 10 great tips...."
I often use text-to-speech (TTS) too. I started out with the male voice, but now I find the female voice more pleasing. Some of the pronunciations are humorous, but I think it does an excellent job.

Re: Side sleepers please chime in
The Mirage Activa LT uses the same frame as the Mirage SoftGel, so if you buy the SoftGel and want to try the Activa LT later, all you'd need to buy is the Activa LT cushion.Sparky223 wrote:I am thinking about trying the Mirage softgel nasal next

Re: Side sleepers please chime in
I am a side sleeper. I've tried a lot of masks, of every type, and the nasal mask that works best for me is the ResMed Activa LT. I'm currently using the AEIOMed Headrest nasal pillow mask, and I have zero leaks almost every night. I also use a small buckwheat hull bed pillow.

Re: S9 Humidifier Faulure?
I haven't had any similar error messages on my machine. Very odd. To prevent the daytime "humidifier error" message, you may want to turn the machine off completely if you're not already doing that. To do that, wait for at least 10 minutes after ending the mask session. (This gives the machine the t...

Re: S9 Hose Issues Survery PLEASE VOTE!
I've had my S9 machine for 11 months now. I used the SlimLine for a few weeks, and then I switched to the ClimateLine. I had read reports about the hoses having a tendency to tear near the cuff, so before using them I wrapped silicone Rescue Tape around both ends of the tubing/cuff area to reinforce...

Re: Is a Zero AHI Possible?
I have had my S9 machine for 11 months, and during that period I have had a total of 19 zero-AHI nights. I had two zero-AHI nights back-to-back once, but all the others have been spaced out over the 11 months. My AHI's usually around 0.5, but it does vary a bit from 0 to 1.0. Almost all my events ar...

Re: Heated Hose question - On settings
I currently have my ClimateLine heated hose set to manual mode 4.5 and 80°F. I've never had any rainout in the hose, and I keep it at that setting most of the year. I've tried Climate Control in auto mode in the past, but it always felt too dry for me.

Re: How many teeth do you have?
I currently have 28 teeth, and they're severely crowded. I had two wisdom teeth removed as a young adult. I have 2 large bony growths on the inside of my lower jaw called "mandibular tori' that make even less room for my tongue. I also have mandibular tori that take up a lot of space. I did a bit of...

The leg movements have caught her attention. She said there is a theory that people that have limb movements during REM sleep frequently don't feel as rested as they should. It must feel good to know that your doctor heard you! Don't feel embarrassed that you expressed your anger. I'm sure that the...

Re: Reality of My Situation - Time to Face It
I plan on giving her a chance to really hear me -- and if that doesn't work (if she's still insistent that I just stay off my back) -- I guess I'll have to make a decision about continuing to have her monitor my situation. That sounds like a good plan. If she still doesn't hear what you're saying, ...

Re: Reality of My Situation - Time to Face It
Maddie, I'm sorry that you aren't getting the answers you need. I haven't been here on the forum much lately, but I do read threads from time to time so I am somewhat familiar with what's been going on with you lately. You had talked in another thread about hip/leg pain that makes you feel the need ...

Re: Fatigued again after 20 months cpap
Spirit, this probably won't make any difference, but have you tried unplugging the machine and then plugging it in again? If that doesn't help, I hope you're able to get the machine fixed (or replaced) quickly. Perhaps they have a machine they can loan you starting immediately, until your machine ca...

jmcsmomma2, when I first read the title of this thread, I thought it said "My Sleep doc tickled me"! Maybe I need new eyeglasses!
