confused.. dr. followup?

So I broke my mask on friday, and called today to order a new one (no worries, i had a backup). The DME asked me if I'd been following up with Dr. X. (the dr. at the sleep lab who diagnosed and prescribed the equipment) uh.. following up? I haven't heard from Dr. X since I walked out the door. At th...

Re: can someone measure the fx hose for me?

Hi Karen!

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll call to place my order instead of doing it online to make things easier

thanks!

can someone measure the fx hose for me?

Hi guys!

It's getting cold here, and im starting to experience rainout. I want to order a pad-a-cheeck hose cover for my new FX but forgot to measure it.

Does someone have the FX that wouldn't mind measuring the hose for me?

Thanks!

chin strap. who knew? & papcap questions

so im on month... 6? 7? something like that going very very well. i use it every night. I have resisted using a chin strap, i didn't want the hassle. I could sleep with my mouth closed. no big deal. I switched masks, from the swift LT to the swift FX. I'm having some problems with the FX but confide...

just got swift fx

My swift LT was broken, there was a leak in the hose. So I decided to try the new swift FX.. I got it today and almost want to go to bed early so i can try it LOL It was funny.. I went through my DME because 1) I am inherently lazy 2) I want it to count towards my deductible 3) that was the easiest ...

apprehensive about sleeping away from home

The stress from the last few weeks at work (BIG project went live) well, it's catching up with me. So on Friday I decided i need a vacation. Just some time away. I'm going to spend four days in the Smokies at the end of February. I called my friend to see if she'd watch one of my dogs, and well, now...

Re: Exhaling with the Swift LT

I've found that if I have the nose piece angled wrong, it's harder to breath. if I adjust it slightly, I notice a definite difference in how easy it is to breathe out

Re: A panicky newbie

Just want to start off saying, I love your name Those are some of the best books out there. I'm fairly new to this too, and almost went into a full blown panic attack when i first started using my mask. I felt like I couldn't breathe, so i started breathing faster and shallower, next thing im hyperv...

Re: cpap machine trying to drown me

the aussie heated hose fixed my rainout 100% and i have a very cold bedroom, and keep my humidifier on 3.

marybarcroft wrote:Thanks to everyone. I didn't have this problem until this fall. The hose is covered. I'll check into the Aussie hose.

question about reporting compliance data to DMEs

My machine was a purchase by my insurance company, they aren't renting it for me. My DME while helpful in getting the initial equipment, has been fairly unhelpful when I had questions, I have gotten the vast majority of any assistance I needed from this forum, and also directly from my insurance com...
