Latest efforts for good night sleep
Like a lot of folks here I've been faithfully using my Autoset II, chin strap and Resmed Gel nasal mask with good success, wearing it all night, but continue to gets mild leaks as indicated with my Rescan monitoring. I have suspected that my mouth has been opening too much. Still feel tired during t...

Re: Could rise in CPAP pressure effect sleep quality?
Thank you all so much for responding.
I'll grab my report tonight and share the AI, HI, etc.
I have not seen my sleep study results and my Dr. seems to be reluctant to share.
Thanks!

Could rise in CPAP pressure effect sleep quality?
56 year male, new user.. I've been getting a full 8 hours of Resmed S8 Autoset II use each night for the last 4 months and feel better but..... I don't think I feel as rested as I think I should. I've raised the min pressure on my Resmed to 10 and now have a range of min - 10 and max - 16. Dr. had p...

Thanks everyone!
Looks like I'm on the right track.
Hey Tattooyu, I'm a guitar player also. What do you play for music and what gear do you play with?
Thanks

Finally working - Do I need to change pressure?
Male, Age 56, 6' 1", 198 lb, 5 year CPAP owner, actual user for about 2 months. Began seriuosly using my Resmed AutosetII after trying many masks. Settled on the Resmed Nasal Gel and a separete chin strap. I finally got the leaks down to 0 with the new mask. 2 months of successful full nights use ha...

Re: Mask for A Stomach sleeper?
I am also a stomach sleeper w/open mouth. So far the new Resmed Mirage Nasal Gel is working very well but I also need a strap to keep my mouth closed. My Rescan number look very good with this setup.
Good luck!

Re: Rescan number good but do not feel rested
Hi Tattooyu, I'll check the mask settings. I use the Autoset II also and my low setting is 6. Range is 6 to 15. Do you think the low is too low? I've raised the low to 8 before but am afriad to raise it much farther aboove the prescribed rate. I noticed that you are at 14. So far the Mirage Nasl gel...

Rescan number good but do not feel rested
I've been trying out my different masks with the Rescan software and my Mirage Nasal gel mask along with a chin strap gave me the best numbers. No leaks and only four Hypopneas during the 8 hours. The problem is that I do not feel as rested this morning as I did with the Fisher & P... 432 full face ...

Did you change mask after reviewing Rescan reports?
I recently bought Rescan and the results are interesting. A few too many hypopneas and an occational apnea of 10 to 15 seconds. I'm using the new Mirage Gel Nasal but wonder if I try my old Mirage full face, etc. if I could improve the results. Would a higher pressure bring down the hypopneas? Has a...

Re: Mirage SoftGel is in the house!
Got my Mirage Softgel from CPAP.com on Saturday. Wow. Mask #7. This one is a keeper. Hardly know it there, just have this darn hose thing........ What a hassle getting my Dr. to give a scrpt for it. I paid the $99.00 rather than wait another 2 months for yet another mask. Worth every penny. I'll get...

Ultra Mirage II nasal vs OptiLife
I recently tried the Optilife pillow mask but it started to leak a lot so I went back to the Ultra Mirage II Nasal. I noticed that I seem to struggle more to get a comfortable air flow with the Mirage after using the OptiLife. Felt like I had to breathe in harder. The Mirage seals better so I want t...

Re: Liberty leaks on face
Same problem here. My solution is just to tighten the straps. Seems to work for me.
Same story, was told the Quatro was teh best but got sores/cuts on the bridge of my nose.
So far the Liberty works the best for me withe Resmed S8 Autoset II.
