Re: Tangled up in hose all night long - Help!

Cpap.com has hose management products -
I ordered one that is collapsible for travel but 95% of the time it is used at home....great for keeping the hose out of the way.

Re: Respironics PR System 1 users ??

Filling the Pr system is not a problem....
I simply refill the machine from a sports bottle with a collapsible spout which contains enough distilled water for about 4-days..

Re: Programmability of Remstar Plus

Wanted to thank Den for posting those instructions for the REMstar plus C-Flex! Had been searching all over the internet for those. Was just about to give up, (and use the more 'plentiful' service manual for the 'M'-series...Not quite the same!), when I came upon your post. Thanks so much! And it r...

Re: Respironics PR System 1 users ??

Now that the Respironics PR system 1 has been on the market over a year, what are the thoughts of those using it, good or bad. What do you like and what do you dis-like about the machine? Is it worth it to upgrade from an M Series Auto to the PR 1 and keep the M series as a backup? Thanks. Bob I ha...

Re: Should I invest in software?

Using a cpap machine without the software is rather like driving a car with a blindfold on! Go for it! You won't regret it. B.D. I believe it is Captain Midnight who says "it is like flying a plane in a cloud without instruments". The above comments are exactly how I felt until I received my softwa...

Re: Preheat PR1 humidifier

I don't think either of these strategies will work because to my knowledge, the PR1 humidifiers work in some mysterious way that does not appear to require heat. I haven't figured out exactly how the PR1 adjusts the humidity but it surely isn't by warming the water. The water is NEVER warm, the hea...

Re: Perscriptions

Hello My sleep doctor is in another city 2.5 hours away. Is it possible to have my family dr write a prescription for me so that I can get a fully data capable machine? Thanks Sudsy Sudsy You can get a fully data capable machine in Manitoba regardless what your prescription says. The Manitoba Gover...

Re: Hints about protecting equipment from kids

my youngest kid is 18 months and loves to play with things, lamps, clock radios, and no doubt, will find a CPAP machine fascinating. My first thought is to put the machine in the shelf of my bedside table and create some sort of door that will keep him away from it. The problem I see is that with a...

Re: Canadians Being Gouged

The price of a Repironics PR System one in Canada is approx. $2300.00 as apposed to the US price of approx $700-800 Those are not isolated items...all things CPAP are inflated hundreds of dollars more than the US prices here in Canada. Things need to change In Manitoba we receive CPAP machines free...

Re: OT: Suite hotel in Toronto?

My wife and I visited Toronto for two weeks this year - once in February and a week in May. It was a combination visit for tests that she had to have at Toronto General Hospital, shopping and taking in a concert. Prior to retirement I used to make a business trip to Toronto once a month and stayed a...

Re: Overwhelmed with CPAP data!

I give my SD card to my provider every 3 months and they provide an printout and sit down to give me an explanation of the results. Rather than do a daily review (which many people do), I think that having a review every now and then is better, and your not "obsessed" with the daily results. As long...

Re: System One SD spare card not working

Does somebody have buy and used successfully a non Respironics SD card? Which brand and how many GB? Thanks for the help! The data doesn't take much space so you don't need a big card. I would just buy a 1 GB card. I think the 2GB card that came with the system will hold 2+ years of data. John Acco...

System one SD card memory

I have only had my new System one machine for 4 weeks and after a few months I was going to take it in to my Provider to get the printout as I do not have the software. Looking at the LCD screen it says that it still has 100% free space which indicated to me that maybe it was not recording data so I...

Re: Why get software?

My DME provider mails me a new card, I swap it out for the one in my machine and then mail the full card back to them. That way I don't have to worry about any sort of gap. I've heard of lots of companies that do it that way. My own opinion is that I have better things to do with the 100 bucks or s...
