Re: Oboma .. another term
Since I am an employee of a pretty big Medical Device Manufacturer which happens to make CPAPS, I'm a bit disappointed about the re-election because part of the Affordable Care Act "ObamaCare" is a job killer. About 7 people so far have lost their jobs because of the Medical Device Excise Tax which ...

Re: Updating the firmware on the PR System One machines
They're probably extra careful on the updates to prevent someone from taking one model of machine and upgrading it to a more expensive machine. I think a lot of the different models of machine differ only in software. That is true. The only difference (besides the price) between a regular Remstar P...

Re: Any tricks to keeping PR S1 filters from "jumping" out???
The System One will be shipping with a white filter very soon that doesn't have any tabs on it, so hopefully that fixes the issue of flying filters. I think this is different than what it currently ships with. I never really paid attention so hopefully I'm not incorrect. http://img207.imageshack.us/...

Re: Providers Manual for PR Sytem One BiPAP Auto w/ Bi-Flex
I believe the Provider Manual is a little more detailed than the regular manual. I'm not exactly sure what is different besides some settings.

I build the System One and Humidifiers for Philips Respironics. I don't use a CPAP, but I usually just read on here about what people think of the System One in general.

Re: My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
All the units use the same warning label (except the international units I believe). So the cflex, bipap etc will all say BiPaP on them even if they aren't a BiPaP. Even though it may be confusing, it is a way to avoid putting the wrong warning labels on them and having different labels for each typ...

Re: BIG UPDATE: NEW RESPIRONICS PR Series Auto CPAP Released!
One thing I noticed is that when I boot up the machine, it mentions a firmware version. Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but wouldnt it be possible for Respironics to update the firmware to include stats for the previous night (in addition to the 7 & 30 day average)? . I'm sure that the firmwar...

Re: Sleep Study at home?
Thanks everyone for the help. I will probably just get one done at a sleep center just to be sure. I would rather get tested and find out I don't have OSA than to not get tested and have it. If I do have it the good thing is I will get a free CPAP because of where I work.

Sleep Study at home?
I'm not a big fan of going to a sleep center to get tested for Sleep Apnea, especially since my life is pretty hectic right now. The reason I would like to get tested is because I am always feeling exhausted throughout the entire day. This occurs even if I go to bed early. I don't know how I sleep a...
