Re: ResScan 3.7 & Vista 64 bit
I obtained an Australian version of the software from eBay and can't get it to recognize the smart card. Resscan sees the generic ACR38 and all of the ACS diagnostics software indicates the drivers are installed correctly and working. I am even running the card monitoring tool and it shows the card ...

Re: ResScan Software Question
I was able to obtain the software from someone on eBay and purchased a generic ACR38 card reader. The card reader is working correctly but the Resscan 3.7 software doesn't see the card. It shows the reader under Device Settings, however, it says "No Device". Is it because the software is an Australi...

Re: CPAP caused bridge of nose to bleed and my solution
Thanks for the suggestion.
I need to try something like this because I am having the same issue with the bridge of my nose. This morning it's really sore.

Re: Newbe in need of help!
I am on my third night of treatment. My daily migraine is gone, I can actually remember what happened this morning, and my mood has greatly improved. However, I am still incredibly tired. I've heard from a co-worker and a couple of friends that the first week is tough. The exhaustion that I feel now...

Re: does CPAP use reduce ear wax?
I was just recently diagnosed with severe OSA. I remember going to see a doctor for a cold or something several months ago. She looks in my ears and says "Wow. You got a lot of wax - I can barely see in there. You should head over to our pharmacy aisle and get some ear wax remover." I am just starti...

Re: Resmed S8 and Battery Power
Maybe I missed it being mentioned but have you considered just using a battery backup/UPS (something by APC perhaps)? It might give you an hour or so and the alarm would wake you up to let you know the power was out.
This is the route I plan on taking.

I just received an email from my father-in-law regarding this.
I'm a newbie CPAP user and had planned on using my neti pot again before masking up for the evening.

Re: Finally Received My First PAP Machine Today!
I, too, just got my first CPAP machine (yesterday). My issues started about a month ago, where I woke up so fatigued that I ended up taking off almost a week of work. I felt completely disconnected from reality and just couldn't snap back. I was also very irritable, would fall asleep at my desk, hav...

Re: How Much Did Your Sleep Study Cost?
The company that did my study wanted $1495 for a "package deal" on equipment. I was able to get the exact same setup from cpap.com (who is 15 miles from me) for around $800.

Placebo?
I was recently diagnosed with severe OSA and was able to get a machine with the help of family. My company chose to explicitly exclude anything related to sleep apnea on our insurance plan so I am paying for diagnosis and treatment out of my pocket. Over the last month, I have had extreme mood swing...

Re: How Much Did Your Sleep Study Cost?
My company chose explicitly *not* to cover anything related to sleep apnea on our insurance plan (that I pay $500 a month for). No sleep studies, no equipment, nothing.
Fortunately, my neurologist knows a sleep clinic and they did my split study for $800 cash. They typically bill insurance $2495.
