Re: Nasal Soreness---Wondering if...........
I've successfully used Neosporin + pain product (it's a white gel) to help heal nasal soreness / relieve pain. NOTE: this is petroleum based so I would not use it right before using your nasal pillow (as the petroleum may break down the silicon in the pillow). I use it in the morning after waking up...

Re: try to find a new nasal mask.
If you're willing to try a nasal pillow interface I'd recommend the Aeiomed Headrest - essentially nothing touches your face.

Re: Expert Advice Needed
The Resmed S8 Autoset II is a very good machine, as is the newer Philips Respironics System One Auto. Some folks prefer one or the other. I started on the PR System One, but ended up preferring the Resmed S8 Autoset II due to how the exhalation relief felt to me. I'm sure others will chime in as wel...

Re: Gotta be an easier way!! H4i humidifier basin
Here is a link to the "dishwasher safe" H4i chamber which allows you to open it up completely (the bottom plate is removable, but it's not intuitive): https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-s8-cpap-h4i-heated-humidifier-long-lasting-dishwasher-safe-water-chamber.html I agree these are poorly design...

I fully support your suggestion! I think I had seen it suggested once before too; not sure if the forum software can support this or what.
(or just eliminate the option for images vs text descriptions).

Re: Help for big nose and nasal pillows!
Hi Letchworth, I don't require glasses, so can't answer with certainty...but I agree with you, I'm not sure how you'd wear them using the Headrest. I will say for me the Headrest has been a Godsend...I can't seem to tolerate a mask (nasal or full face) on me - I've tried the Hybrid, Ultramirage full...

Re: Help for big nose and nasal pillows!
You might want to also consider the Aeiomed Headrest. XL pillows are available, and nothing touches your face. I have no problems sleeping on my back or sides with it.

Re: USB data card reader
I would correct these initial responses - based on akeegan (Al's) profile, he has a Resmed S8 Autoset II (as do I). The card reader is a "smart card" (not a standard SD card as the PR System One is). I found a knockoff reader for my S8 (there is a link here with sources: http://www.cpaptalk.com/view...

We've had a Sole treadmill for a couple years now - can't recall the model but it's used daily and has been trouble free. Good luck with yours!

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?
I read the reviews for the Swift FX on CPAP.COM They were not good. The little mask has 2 stars out of 5 (5 being good) I just checked and it's 4.1 out of 5...but there are only 9 reviews so far (obviously this will change over time as it gets more reviews)...needs more time/reviews to be really re...

Re: ResMed S9 coming soon?
I just noticed that I can't open this link. It says that based on my location, I am unable to access this site and redirects me to the Canada/US Resmed site. I was able to view the UK site when Rested Gal first posted it. Hummmm... I saw this as well. I used a UK proxy and downloaded all the PDF fi...

Re: ResMed S9 coming soon?
It looks cool! How the therapy is, is another story of course. The heated line with sensor sounds good...would depend how much more $ that is. Looking at the UK H5i user's manual, it doesn't look like they learned from Respironics in making the humidifier tub simple to open/close/fill/clean...that i...

Tried this...on to Aeiomed Headrest!
Just wanted to add I went down this same path - really liked the concept of the Swift LT pillows, but couldn't get them to seal. I did this modification using the Breeze pillow and used it for a week or so, it does seem to work fine. But my quest to find the "perfect mask" wasn't fulfilled; having s...
