Re: MIrage Activa LT

I join all of you who have found the Mirage Activia LT, to be a good mask. It was my favorite until I found a similar mask. It is the Paykel & Fisher Zest nasal mask. I got them both about the same time. I was sure the ResMed would be my favorite, it look to be a stronger-made mask. After alternati...

Re: MIrage Activa LT

I was told by my DME that at the lower pressures the Activa LT tends to "pulse" (where the mask literally rises and falls) with your breathing. I'm running a 10 right now and she said I may notice a kind of pulsing with each breath. I don't know if that's actually going to be an issue, but I'm curio...

Re: MIrage Activa LT

Based on what I've read I think the Activa LT might be the way to go for me. I think I need to get away from the nose pillow styles and this looks like the way to go. I've considered the ComfortGel (I had actually used the Profile Lite before, not the ComfortGel), but the reviewers mentioned lots of...

Re: New Mask Suggestions for Stomach Sleeper

At this point it looks like I'm probably going to go with the Activa LT. The Breeze with DreamSeal doesn't get very good reviews, and I think I want to get away from that large back plate for when I do sleep on my back. The Swift LT still looks like a possibility if I were to continue with the nasal...

Insurance Covering Card Reader and Software?

I know I need to check with my DME, but I tend to believe that my BCBS won't cover software and a card reader. Has anyone ever been able to get their insurance to cover something like that? Is it pretty much unheard of? I mean the world would just come to an end if we were able to have insurance hel...

Re: MIrage Activa LT

I use the Activa LT as a backup mask,if I want a change from the Swift LT. I've been considering doing something similar. Anyone gone to this mask after using the ComfortGel? That's the only full nasal I'm familiar with. I bailed on it because I didn't like having a giant red mark in my forehead an...

Re: "I switched to the Swift LT" ...because?

I switched to the Swift LT from my first mask, the ComfortGel Nasal because it was hurting the bridge of my nose. The Swift LT was incredibly comfortable though I never felt as good as I did with the ComfortGel. After a while, I started to feel like crap. I thought it was because of the age of the ...

Re: "I switched to the Swift LT" ...because?

This is great stuff folks, keep it coming. While we're at it, has anyone used the Swift LT and gone BACK to what they were already using? If so, why? (OK, I just realized I may be coming off like a vendor rep or something. I'm not. I've just been looking for a replacement for the Breeze . I want to ...

"I switched to the Swift LT" ...because?

Everywhere I go on this forum there are people that just swear by the Swift LT. What I want to know is why you switched to the Swift LT. I see a little here and there, but nothing organized. The comments on the product have an anecdote here and there but rarely, if ever, specifics about what they we...

Re: New Mask Suggestions for Stomach Sleeper

I've actually been using the Ayr since I first started using the prong style masks. I put it on every night before I put on the mask. It helps with the seal and alleviates some of the issues with the sores, but it's not a 100% solution. The biggest problem is when I get new pillows which are a littl...

New Mask Suggestions for Stomach Sleeper

I've been using a CPAP for around 10 years now. I've had pretty good luck overall, but I'm getting antsy for something a bit different. I started with a ComfortGel nasal mask initially and did pretty well with it, but ran into a lot of problems with sore spots on my nose and especially on my forehea...
