Re: Any mouth breathers not using full face?
I've been using different nasal pillows over the years (currently using the Airfit F10, and loving it), and I hate the thought of a full face mask to handle my occasional mouth breathing. My solution (actually suggested by my sleep therapist) has been to use a chin strap. It keeps my mouth closed. T...

Re: First Week of SleepyHead Data
Thanks Den. Would it make sense to up the minimum pressure to 8.5 or is 9.0 be a better choice? Sure. Move it up gradually and see what works and how well it works. From your data, you're actually going up higher than those numbers during the night, but sometimes it's easier to work up the minimum ...

First Week of SleepyHead Data
For my first experience with SleepHead, I find that I really don't understand a lot of the data. Below are stats of the averages for the past week: CPAP Usage Average Hours per Night: 07:29 Therapy Efficacy AHI: 0.31 Obstructive Index: 0.28 Hypopnea Index : 0.09 Clear Airway Index: 0.00 RERA Index: ...

Now THAT sounds like a plan. Thanks.Goofproof wrote:If you can't remember to buy distilled water, buy two, when you empty the first one, tie it to your finger as a reminder to replace it.

Quick Connect/Release for Hose?
Does anyone sell some type of quick release coupler to go between the main tubing from the CPAP machine and the short tubing connected to the mask?

No Distilled Water, Can Filtered Water Be Used?
In the event that I am out of distilled water for my CPAP humidifier (I'm absent-minded, so this seems to happen to me too often), would tap water that has gone through a Brita filter (we have a Brita pitcher) be an acceptable replacement? Just wondering if using anything other than distilled water ...

Re: Help with Airsense 10 (Dreamstation Comparison)
Please tell me you got the AutoSet or at least the Elite and didn't get screwed with the AirSense 10 "CPAP" model. (And put it in your profile.) To get to the menu, press and hold the dial and home button for 3 seconds. Exit the same way. Yes, there is SmartStart function. Get SleepyHead. End of st...

Re: Help with Airsense 10 (Dreamstation Comparison)
Big Dave and Robysue...thank you so much for the info. I guess I'm wondering if it makes any sense to give the 5 to 15 range another night. Am I giving up too soon? I just don't know if you're supposed to give new therapy some time. After one rough night, is that all it takes to know that a "5" is t...

Help with Airsense 10 (Dreamstation Comparison)
I recently asked for and received some excellent help from the folks here regarding getting a new CPAP/APAP machine (Airsense 10 or Dreamstation). It really seemed like I wouldn't go wrong with either, so I took the advice of the therapist who clearly liked the ResMed machine better, so I brought th...

Hey Marnne, fellow eastcoaster here. How do you like the Dreamstation? I'm about to get a new machine, and it's between the Arisense 10 and the Dreamstation.marnne108 wrote:I'm from the East coast, cynical and say this is "hot". IMHO

Re: Airsense 10 Humidifier Question
OK...thanks.K8TEK wrote:No, sir.bcab17 wrote:Thanks for the quick answer. So the side cover does not come with the Airsense 10?
It looks like the humidifier adds 2 to 3 inches to the overall width of the Airsense 10. Is that about right?
Also, is it ok to use the machine with an empty (no water) humidifier attached?
