No more CPAP
I have some good news to share with everyone. To make a long story short, back in July of this year I had back surgery to fuse my L4,L5. After the surgery, upon waking up I had my CPAP ready for use that night. I feel asleep w/o the CPAP and slept the whole night with no problems, even slept on my b...

Re: Changed to a humidifier and have a question.
hello, In response to your question, the pressure should be and feel the same if it was correctly entered. If not take your machine to the DME and have them check the pressure to make sure it is putting out the correct amount of air. I hope this will help you, I would reccomend not to make any adjus...

Re: ASV
It's GREAT to hear you have adjusted so well and are dong well. I also have adjusted to breathing with it. I no longer notice when my ASV machine ramps up the pressure to help kick start my breathing. But I fear good, consistent sleep eludes me. My neurologist/sleep doctor cautioned me this might b...

ASV
I have been on vpap adapt sv since Dec 09, would like to hear from any users and how they are handeling it. I had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to it but know I say to myself how did I survive without it until now. I feel great, look forward to going to bed, before I would wait until I was e...

Re: Apologies for my absence
Good to hear from you John, how is your VPAP treating you? For me it was god sent. I don't think you remember me but I was the one that Tri-care gave me the run around. I was able to get my machine thru OPTIGEN, they are great. My provider used to be APRIA, pity for me LOL.

Re: Full Face Fiasco
Hi, I found that the only way to get through the leak issue is to keep on trying until you get the correct fit. I remember one night I must have gotten up about three or four times. I finally got it right and my leaks have gone down quite a bit. I use the same full face mask. They are by far the bes...

Re: Newbie wonders: Should I get a CPAP Pillow?
Hi, I just bought a cpap pillow from cpapsupplyusa.com SKU 14-101R-1-730, it works great. I am also a side sleeper and my leak went from five and six to .05. I don't know if it will work for everyone, I took a chance you can always return it if it doesn't work for you. I use a regular pillow to watc...

Re: Question for Full Face Mask users
Hi, I use the Mirage quattro. This a pretty good mask, but like the other posters have said, if you use a DME just try several full face mask before making a decision. I will share this with you, they all leak. The more adjustments made will make the top bridge of the nose raw. I have found that if ...

Re: How old were you when
I was first diagnosed w/OSA Nove 2007, got a cpap and was sent home. Used it for about a month, not everyday maybe four days total. Packed it away and said the heck with this. In Aug 2009 things got pretty bad, did not sleep for about three days. Thought I was goning to die, called my Dr. got an app...

Re: dry mouth
I had the same problem. It all started with the change in weather, the cold and lack of humidity in the air. Do you have a humidifier, what setting do you have set at now. I suggest before you make any adjustments first get a hose cover, it helps with rainout. Make small adjustments, .5% at a time, ...
