Re: My wife will be having her own sleep study next week
If your concerned about not sleeping enough the first four hours to qualify for a split study, ask for an ambian. they offered one to me, and i declined, ended up haveing to return for a second night. the ambian will insure that you sleep enough for a split study.

Re: H1N1
I got my H1N1 yesterday, other than a mild headace, no other symptoms. I had H1N1 in late october, Dr prescribed Tamiflu. Dr advised i still get the vacine, as the tamilflu probably prevented my immune system from developing full immunity. I think i would rather risk side effects of the shot, vs get...

Re: finaly relief, switch back from APAP to CPAP
I could have written your post above! I was on CPAP with a pressure of 10 for almost 8 years. I had lost some weight and the CPAP pressure was blowing my mouth open and waking me. So I went to the sleep doc and we talked about trying an APAP since I hadn't upgraded my machine in 8 years. We got an ...

finaly relief, switch back from APAP to CPAP
I saw my Sleep doctor for the first apointment last week, and he changed my therapy back to straight CPAP at 11cm. they had tried a APAP setting of minimum 5cm and max of 15cm for the last 3 weeks to see if it was more comfortable that straight CPAP. I went from sleeping 8 hours per night to a fragm...

Re: Therapy change from Cpap to Apap
The DME only uses the Resmed Autoset II, so the change in machine was only because it was broken ( not recording data, usage, and EPR didn't work either ). Last night I noticed that when i was awake, waiting to fall to sleep, the mask made no noise when exhailing ( thru the vent holes in mask where ...

Re: malfunctioning CPAP?

The RT attributed it to a software glitch, she had only seen it once before. they are returning my machine to the manufacture and issued me a...

Re: malfunctioning CPAP?
Finally got into the DME, the air noise wound up being a small fold in the silicon seal of my mask, the results of not getting it put together right after cleaning. the air noise is normal again. I asked the DME RT why it was not logging data, that the mask fit feature was not working anymore. got a...

I also have rescan 3.7, but using vista business. intalled all the latest drivers. sometimes it recognizes the card in the reader and other times not. have tried all of the above, and still can not figure out why it works some times and not all the time.
