Re: OT Can you read what this says? Just for fun
I could not figure this out so I cheated.....by accident. I had the idea to copy the image into powerpoint with the thought I could make it larger and see it. To my supprise I pasted the image into powerpoint and as soon as I slowly dragged the image towards the middle of the screen the words JUMPED...

Good Thing or a Bad Thing
I have been on apap for almost 2 years. I have not noticed any significant changes to my health exept that I do not snore (per my Wife) and I sleep extremely deep relative to what I slept before apap. I am wondering or even concerned about too deep of a sleep. I rarely wake up at night even for a ba...

Re: Symptoms...CPAP Related?
Slight sensitivity of the nose is no reason to stop cpap therapy. Maybe you need to play with your humidity. Have you thought that maybe these passages are healing due to breathing clean humidified air 8 hours a night? I don't believe it's healing as it is not pleasant and fade during the morning h...

Symptoms...CPAP Related?
Seeking Opinions.. First a little background....I have been on APAP for about 18 months with excellent compliance and average nightly usage of about 7+ hours. AHI averages 4.1, AI averages 0.9, HI averages 3.2 over a 1 year period. This data comes from the APAP machine's digital display and not any ...

How to fix a Squeaky Mask?
My Zest mask has started squeaking at the plastic pivot point where the hose attaches. It started several days ago and squeaks when it rotates when I move at night. The squeak is just loud enough to wake me. I'm not sure what to lubricate it with since any smell will be right at the nasal portion of...

Ice Cube Idea? Opinions Appreciated
I have been on APAP for 16 months and for the most part I have adapted OK. Compliance is almost 100% over the last 5-6 months. I did struggle during the late spring and summer because of how uncomfortable my mask was. The uncomfortable/intolerable part is not the mask itself; it’s the effect of brea...

Re: OT - Chat Room and Impersonations
This past weekend I “clicked” on the chat room for the first time and it worked to my surprise. It hadn’t worked before. I will admit to using my password as I just assumed (wrongly) it was required. I had a brief chat with Madalot before going fishing for the day. After seeing this topic originally...

Bad Information from Dr? Opinions Appreciated.
I recently went to my Dr. for my 1ST check-in since starting APAP 9 months ago. The reason for the visit was simply to see how I was doing on APAP, compliance and a review of my data card. I was not at all happy with the visit as I was seen by a new Dr. who started the appointment by telling me what...

Humidifer Question...Affect on AHI?
For those of you that are experts, please forgive the potentially stupid question.......Is there a relationship between AHI, Hi, or Ai and the humidifier settings.? I ask this because I have noticed that the higher the humidifier setting (range 0-2 on S8 machine), the higher the AHI (2.3 to 3.6). Le...

Why buy software? Opinions appreciated
Starting my 9 month on APAP and have adapted to it without to many problems. The only benefits I have received from the therapy is longer, unintrupted sleep, many more night of dreams (none bad), and the biggest benefit is that I don't snore anymore according to my wife (very important benefit). I h...

Travel Questions
I am fairly new (3 month and doing fine). I would appreciate any responses to a couple of simple questions regarding travel. First Questions: When checking through security at the airport, I know that the CPAP machine is checked separately. My question is do I tell the first TSA person that I have a...

Question about Travel with CPAP
I will be going out of the country for a week of vacation and plan to take my CPAP machine with me as a carry-on bag. I have read the TSA website and I know that the CPAP will be checked separately. I remember reading somewhere, but I don't recall where, that it is recommended that you have your RX ...

AHI / Leakage Question
Still new and learning. I am starting my second month and am doing well with compliance, but I do have a question about my data. I do not have the software yet but I have been tracking the data from the LED daily. My average AHI is 4.8 and the highest AHI was 5.6 and the lowest has been 3.4. As for ...
