CPAP Supplier Recommendations
For many years I have gotten my CPAP supplies from Lindcare. Over the years I have dealt with their arcane and complex system of individual providers linked by phone. I've spent hours waiting for responses. I am ready to make a change. I would love to hear what supplier you use and what your experie...

Re: Smaller Hose Surprising AHI Results
I'm changing back to the correct hose. Too many variables to know what's going on.

Smaller Hose Surprising AHI Results
I just replaced my CPAP hose. After installing it, I realized I had used one of those small diameter, "travel", hoses. Being too tired to change it to a regular one, I went to sleep with plans to change it in the morning. On awakening I was surprised to read that my AHI for the night was 1.0 instead...

Re: CPAP Supplies Medicare South Florida
Feel free to use my medicare suppliers link at the bottom of my post. Fill in your zip code to retrieve suppliers in your vicinity. You may change the search radius if your area is underserved. Look for the green M . Those are contracted to accept Medicare allowable as full payment. Thanks chunkyfr...

Re: CPAP Supplies Medicare South Florida
I've used Lincare for ten years or so and have never been happy with their calling system for ordering supplies. I am 76 and on Medicare with supplemental insurance. I would prefer a supplier with online ordering capability rather than the supplier calling me. I've read most of the discussion threa...

Re: High HI second sleep session
I think that sometimes higher AHI numbers during short sessions are from some awake/semi awake breathing irregularities getting flagged by the machine by mistake...similar to the way naps often report higher AHI. I know often when I have that second sleep session close to when I would be normally w...

Re: High HI second sleep session
The breakdown usually shows that the higher number is composed mostly of a higher HI with the mask leakage and AI numbers roughly the same as the first part of the night. So when I go back to sleep for the second part of the night my HI number goes up. Any thoughts? You don't say what time you wake...

High HI second sleep session
I use an S8 Elite with an Airfit P10 mask. I recently added a Ruby adjustable chin strap to my gear and have been getting excellent results. My AHI is typically less than 1 and often less than .5. But, after waking to use the bathroom around 4 am and going back to sleep my second session AHI is typi...

Re: AirFit F10 Full Face Mask with Headgear (USERS)
I've been using a Swift FX for a number of years and thought it was a revolutionary upgrade from the various face masks I used in the beginning of my therapy. I recently got a P10 at a good price and I LOVE it. It has none of the twiddly adjustments of the FX and just works. Right out of the box my ...

Re: New machine?
I just checked and I have an S8 Elite II. For some reason I thought it was an S9. I can't get my full inventory of gear to display in my signature. I am set for pretty low pressure of 5. My machine does a fair job but I figure that over 5 years my own body may have changed and thought the new auto s...

Re: Using ResMed S9 and humidifier in my vehicle
Sounds like you have done your research. I recently was on a three week trip in my RV one week of which was "dry camping" with no power. I hooked my S9 up to a small inverter and ran it through the night with no problem. Of course my RV has large house batteries. A simple and inexpensive way to answ...

Re: New machine?
I may not have worded my post adequately to describe my question. Assuming I can get a new machine and assuming my old one is working fine my questions are: 1. Is there any advantage to getting a newer machine with new features. APAP/IPAP as opposed to straight CPAP? 2. If the answer to (1) is yes t...
