Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
The cheaper shoes still feel better than the standard, though. I've been using my TheraShoes for two weeks now and I've noticed a huge difference in how my feet feel at work. Granted, my big toes are still numb from using the Dr. Scholls for so long, and I am a little worried that that damage might ...

Re: Looking for a new mask...
Well... none of the three I was looking at worked out. They all leaked horribly on all sizes. I guess I just don't have the right facial shape for them... Anyhoo, looks like I'm going to give pillows another go. Specifically, the Swift FX. I have a loaner unit to try for the week, and we'll see how ...

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
I've spent my first full work day in my TheraShoes... I didn't really have any pain problems until I took them off! They certainly feel better than they did in my old Dr. Scholls.
I'm hoping that the trend of my toes going numb will slowly reverse itself now that my toes aren't being crowded anymore.

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
Well, I picked up some TheraShoes at KMart today. They're built along the same line as the MBTs and Shape-Ups. I've been wearing them since I got home and I thought I would have difficulty getting used to them... I couldn't be more wrong. I already feel like I've been walking in them for some time. ...

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
I have a friend at work that actually wears the Skechers, and she absolutely loves them. I didn't realize she wore them until reading this thread and noticed the absence of the heel.

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
Interesting thread... and tempted to pick me up some new shoes. With my job, I basically am walking for almost 10 hours a day, 4 (sometimes 5) days a week. I've been noticing that my toes... especially my big toes are going numb. They STAY numb. I was off today and they're still numb. It wasn't like...

Re: OT:Happy Birthday, Cygnusia (38)!
Well, Sputty (the current nickname for the Sportage) has actually been behaving lately. I have to make sure that it's warmed up properly before I go, but that's never a bad idea when it's been as cold and gloomy as it has around here lately. After it's warmed up, it drives more or less fine.

Re: OT:Happy Birthday, Cygnusia (38)!
Thank you... My birthday is going like I always like them... nice and quiet. Alex has been sleeping for a good bit of the day so far, not that I wouldn't mind some activity from him.
It's just nice getting a peaceful day for a change.

Re: OT: We have any car mechanics out there?
Nope, those were replaced during the tune-up. It's had a few days on the interstate, and all is still well. It DOES sputter and and act up when it's cold, but that just tells me that there is still some underlying issue that does need to be tended to. The fuel gauge still no worky, but at least it l...

Re: OT: We have any car mechanics out there?
I haven't reset the code yet, but I will be driving it to work tomorrow... a trial by fire, I guess. I will look into that WikiAnswers post at some point.

Re: OT: We have any car mechanics out there?
The car's running again! After I recharged the battery, either the Iso-Heet did its thing, or the cleaning of the MAF did. Or both. It's running for now, and I don't quite trust it yet, but it's already made one trip on the main street and back, while pulling the codes (only one, P0301, which is cyl...

Re: a personal question..
I never had the problem with night time urination, but I am still battling restless leg syndrome. My sleep tech told me that they were going to take a detailed look into my study to confirm it, but that was the last I heard of it... I'm on my feet all day now, and my legs never feel rested after a n...

Re: OT: We have any car mechanics out there?
I most likely drained the battery while doing my "checkups" to see if the things I have been doing to it have had any effect. I need to jump it off and let it try to run for a bit... hopefully getting some juice into the battery again.
