Re: CPAP Pro 'No Mask' with dentures!

I intend buying this Nomask CpapPro, but before I do so, can anyone relate how the Boil & Bite process is possible
on a person with a full-set upper denture? Having such a denture set may be advantageous or not?

Re: How is it to be off the Machine temporarily?

I am most thankful to all for your comments and views. I have time to go into the pros and cons on this matter, before my departure. The note below is somewhat reassuring. Thanks to avi123 "Sleep. 2006 Apr 1;29(4):545-52. Effects of short-term CPAP withdrawal on neurobehavioral performance in patien...

How is it to be off the Machine temporarily?

I would like to hear from anyone with experience of not using his/her Machine for about a week or so, say when having to travel abroad ; as a second opinion. I intend going abroad without the Machine. In a daring mood, I skipped using the Machine for 14 days, to test for any signs health-wise. I did...

Re: Waking up before sunrise

[quote="jweeks"]Hi, I really struggled with waking up after 2 or 3 hours for the first 6 months of using CPAP. My theory is that I was so used to getting little or no useful sleep before CPAP, that after starting on the machine, the 2 or 3 hours of good sleep was all that my brain thought it needed ...

Looking for Surgery in OSA I came across this piece of information which may interest some in the Forum:- "Surgery for Sleep Apnoea Search for Sleep Clinics & Specialists Medication is not generally thought to be of any help for sleep apnoea (also spelled 'sleep apnea') sufferers. However, there are...

Magnetic Therapy for Apnea related snoring

I came across a Producer of Magnetic Therapy bracelets etc (in UK) offering a nose stud with Magnets mounted at the ends of a U shaped soft plastic, that should be inserted in the center of the nose. The nerves that have connection to the soft tissues in the throat may be rejuvenated by wearing thes...

Re: new and very frustrated

Keep at it at all costs. Even trial and error modes are usual with this kind of therapy? The news item below is of concern to all of us: Stroke: Sleep Apnea Sufferers at Risk (Ivanhoe Newswire) -- Sleep apnea may forecast a much more dangerous event -- stroke. New research links sleep apnea and stro...

Eucalyptus Oil in Humidifier for Sinus cure

I have read that Eucalyptus Oil is a recommended for various respiratory maladies. I am on CPAP machine for the last 5 months. Being subject of occasional Sinus attacks I wonder if it will be OK if I were to use a drop or two of Eucalyptus Oil in the humidifier water, when Sinus symptoms sets in? Is...

Re: Frustrated above and beyond right now!!!

I am just 35 days into it and welcome all the frustrations revealed here - which I too have gone through. My Machine (Weinmann) was rented out by the "Sleep Clinic" on a day-to-day basis (practised in Switzerland under the Medical Insurance Scheme) and do not face the "salesman" attitudes! The write...
