ok, I am new, but what does that stand for?????

Hi, I am new to this site and new to cpap [about 2 weeks on the machine] and am doing well. I have read many posts about people who have gained a lot of weight since starting cpap. And some have claimed to loose some weight. I just don't understand how this relates to being on cpap. Help me out here...
