Re: What is your take on daily emptying of your humidifier?
Empty mine daily only cause its put away in the cabinet below where its used so as not to drip water everywhere. It seems wasteful as I am using passthru only and very little to no water is missing when its dumped every morning.Refuse to pay for bottled water but the machine gets it, go figure.

Mine took longer to receive. The time from sleep study to machine seemed the most annoying ,so plan on it being a pain and anything easy will be a gift.Your taking care of your issue even if you don't get your machine before your trip, as said above holding out for a data capable machine for me made ...

Mine too , and oddly think I feel better with the quattro while asleep, not when watching tv, reading, waking with marks ,or looking at number but when actually asleep.SleepingUgly wrote:My AHI and pressures went up when I switched from the Swift LT to the Quattro.

Re: sore throat- cause unknown
Are you sure you are not breathing through your mouth at times? Did you have some nasal congestion last night for the first time? Pretty sure ,had a chin strap tight and woke with the crusty lips pressed together all night feeling.Wife said no snoring but wish she was more observant at mouth breath...

You could take up playing the "didgeridoo", an Australian aboriginal wind instrument: http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x256/sleepydave/didgeridoo.jpg There was a "white paper" documenting it's effectiveness: http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/332/7536/266 This was followed by an advertising camp...

Re: Different Masks, WAY different results!
The quattro gives me worse number even if I get the leak the same which is harder for me on the ffm (quattro)than the swift lt.I think sleep is sounder on the quattro for some reason but not convinced enough to use it full time.

Hello all, Last night I purposely didnt use my mask because of a sore throat. The night before this the house was colder than normal by about 15 degrees so I used the heated humidifier for the "first time" thinking it would warm me up and put me to sleep nicely. It worked wonders in that there was no ...

Re: tightly coiled hose
Great advice, if you buy a travel machine and put it the closet and get to a hotel without un-coiling the hose its like trying to use the corpse of a snake with Rigor mortis .sronsen wrote: Just be sure to unpack the new hose and place it in a non-coiled position relatively quickly.
