Re: long time swift user which mask should i switch to
I have the LT (for her) and I would not want to trade it for an FX simply because the pillows swivel up or down to adjust to your nares. The swivel has a sort of rubber clicky wheel to make the pillows move so it's not like they slide easily when you don't want them to. I used the swivel every night...

MN DMEs?
Does anyone in MN have a DME that allows 30-day trials on masks? You can either reply to the post or PM me if you're more comfortable that way. If you could give the name and city or phone number that would be so helpful.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Help! Advice needed
Unfortunately, it is the responsibility of the insured to make sure that they are seeing providers who are in their network. You can try to talk to everyone involved - ins. co., sleep clinic and sleep doc to see what might be done about it, but unless you have a sleep doc who is so honest that they ...

Re: Discussion of Small Jaws as Cause of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
I was just thinking about this same topic over the past week! In my case, I had to have baby teeth removed and permanent ones cut out so that there was room in my jaw. I had a headgear that was supposed to correct my overbite but I never wore it because it hurt! I can fit my pinky finger tip in betw...

What tape do you use and why?
I've recently begun to tape my mouth and was wondering what others used. I've tried the blue painter's tape but that gets too wet and falls off. I tried to find Hypafix medical tape and 3M Micropore tape but didn't get a chance to stop anywhere besides Walmart and they didn't carry either one so I h...

Re: Do you do this when you travel?
momof2inmn, thanks for posting this question! I'm leaving Sunday for the first plane trip since getting my cpap. I knew I could ask them to change their gloves, but I didn't know about cleaning the table or using new testing medium. That's so good to know, because I'm a bit OCD about germs. Now I'v...

Do you do this when you travel?
I've seen several of you post that you ask the TSA agent to change their gloves when they examine your CPAP, but do you also ask them to do the other two bullet points below (from the TSA website)? Wasn't sure what the ETD sampling media was and what other things it will have touched Upon request, T...

Re: Mouth Taping - adhesive irritation
Has anyone who uses the Micropore tape found that they could not use the blue painter's tape but could use the Micropore? I tried the painter's tape but I found myself taking it off in the night because the moisture from my breath or mouth made it not stick anymore. I also tried the Poligrip strips ...

Re: Poll for women using FFM's and Hybrids
Can anyone who has used the Mirage Liberty or the Innomed Hybrid tell me if the nasal pillow piece adjusts? I have a Swift LT for Her and it swivels up and down which I find helps a ton in avoiding leaks. I recently started having mouth blowouts and am considering using one of these masks since I lo...

Re: help postion papcap chinstrap?!
Hello, Do you wear the papcap chinstrap with a full face mask? Am I missing something? I thought a full face mask was supposed to negate the need for a chin strap. I recently noticed that I have begun to mouth breathe and I was considering a ffm so that I wouldn't have to use a chin strap. I don't ...

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE
Since there were so many people looking for Swift LT medium pillows I didn't know who has already gotten them and who was next in line so I didn't PM, just posted. I have 2 mediums and 2 extra-smalls that I would like to trade for Smalls. These have been in my smoke-free but not pet-free home (cats)...

No, I thought he'd see it here and so would others who may have had the same issue. Trying to kill two birds with one stone I guess.dtsm wrote:Have you tried asking Bret for his thoughts?

Re: Pap Cap Help
nor would I over-tighten the chinstrap. I don't sleep well if I do that. Try to make it snug..but not too snug. It's a delicate balance... Maybe that's part of my problem. I have the chin strap really tight so that I can't just open my mouth and breathe, which then pulls down A LOT on the cap. How ...

Pap Cap Help
I was never a mouth breather before but in the past few months I find that I have a pasty (but not dry) mouth in the morning and am waking myself up with the noise of the air coming from my mouth. I purchased the Pap Cap a few weeks ago and used it for a few nights, then gave up for awhile and tried...
