Re: Unit won't shut off

Well, it's been like an hour and I only used it this afternoon for a nap (1.5 hours). Could it somehow have decided to completely dry the hose, etc.?

If yes, should I try taking humidifier off and then hooking up w/o it. Then it should be able to dry w/o adding moisture?

Unit won't shut off

I have a Resmed Auto 2 and it started leaving a small constant stream of air when turned off. I can disconnect the hose from the humidifier and it's pretty strong at that point. Doesn't matter how long it's off; it continues to do this. Anyone have any ideas for how to fix (w/o needing to return to ...

Re: Reading Resmed Software Details

[quote="jdm2857"]Each red bar with a number on top represents an apnea. The number is the length of the apnea in seconds. Each blue square on the same graph represents an hypopnea. Great, thank you. Part I'm still not clear on is are the apneas reported those that are treated correctly or total rega...

Reading Resmed Software Details

Have not logged on in a while due work so apologize if this already discussed. These are the questions I have: 1. Under Detailed- Events- There is a red mushroom thing and it has a number over it. Last night, there were only three; the first one had 19 over it and it was around 1:30 AM. What is this...

Re: Clearing out new unused items - Great bargains!

I'm grateful to a very active member for posting that he had no use for just the size mask that I wanted to experiment with but couldn't get it through our insurance at the time, so I sent him a PM and he insisted on sending it to me without charge. I did send him the postage but had to remind him ...

Re: S-8 Titration ideas

Would a forceful cough show up as a spike in pressure above your Max pressure setting? Slinky, my description wasn't very good. I'm frustrated w myself I can't describe it in writing so please let me try again. No, I haven't saved a report yet or copy screen to paint to ... because I am way too tir...

Re: S-8 Titration ideas

Bump, Sorry, did not try to send/attach graph. That's just the way I write. How can I get that particular data piece to you (or just to post)? I don't have Outlook. I can't get any copy/paste options to work from that graph page. Not so confident Resmed would help me out with this. Although I find i...

New, better than CPAP treatment?

I posted this (third paragraph) a while back and just learned it is not really my idea. I am including link to what I think is one of many soon to arrive concepts that will obsolete these units. I was also wrong in guessing it would be Medtronic though who knows. Here is link to stimulation style co...

Re: What kind of tape to use?

I use the sports tape (1.5" wide) I get at Walmart in pharmacy section. It's not hypoallergenic but never have any problems. I guess it's designed to be on skin for a while, sports injuries, etc. Sticks well, great width and can tear or cut strip depending on time/patience at night. Easy, painless t...

Re: Resmed S9 Software - Where can I get it?

This is a serious question- why bother with the software? The autos do a titration (sort of) each night and correct for changes needed as well as changes in you general pressure needs over time. If I've learned anything, it's that my needs do exceed the static pressure that was set following my titr...

Re: Newbie Needs Help Self-Titrating

Hi Big D and others, Yes. Sunday was a break from stress of looking for job (writing helps) so as soon as have time this week will do, or, may wait till next Sunday. You did raise interesting point- people use definitions differently (hence my initial confusion). Oh, and the point of my long winded ...

Re: Newbie Needs Help Self-Titrating

Big D, Great! Thank you ! That makes perfect sense. I understood it all and will be patient with changes. Don't have DME due loss of job/insurance right after titration but hopefully will have soon. I want to add something so I can feel like am helping not just always asking for help. Not that this ...
