Mirage Swift II Pillows
Anyone want my Mirage Swift II small or large pillows. I use mediums, and it came with all three sizes.

Re: CPAP on Extreme Cheapskates
When my blower burned out, I found an even cheaper temporary solution (see picture). A trash bag stretched over a pedestal fan, with my hose taped through a hole in one corner. It worked. Barely. I got a new blower a few days later.

Re: My Antique is Dead
I love the fan setup! When I met my DME and he suggested over a week to get me a machine, I told him I had an air compressor in the basement and I would have cpap. I'm still thinking of trying the portable tank to see how long it would last at my pressure. Screw air quality, I live in the ohio rive...

Re: My Antique is Dead
All the manuals are on line Software is there too as long as you get a data capable machine - efficacy data that is. Yeah, I just noticed the software was sold here, and found one link to Clinitians manuals. Getting into clin setup mode seems easy enough. My blower has the SD card, so maybe the onl...

Re: My Antique is Dead
I hope so, chunkyfrog, and my wife is hoping it'll be quieter. Unfortunately, I think most of the noise is mask related. What I'll miss is having all the manuals and the software to read and operate the machine. I've updated my profile. Does anyone have opinions or suggestions on this model REMstar?

Re: My Antique is Dead
I was too tired to think about that at the time, but luckily, I tear this fan apart and clean it occasionally. It wasn't too dirty. Also, the way the bag was inflated, most of the dust would probably settled on the lower surface of the bag, and not made it to the hose. I updated my avatar with a pic...

My Antique is Dead
Oh well. After twelve and a half years of perfect service, my ResMed AutoSet T Sullivan has become non-responsive. I tried the battery fix that someone else here mentioned, but it's not coming back. The DME that I've learned to tolerate has a new blower on order for me, and I should get it tomorrow....

Re: Canadian relatives and friends: I am worried about you
This would appear to be the "original" article. http://www.muskoka-news.com/article/150808 The responses above from actual Canadians, and what I've heard from my Canadian friends and relatives all seem to say the same thing. Canadian health care is not perfect, but also not the "socialist nightmare"...

Re: discrepancy between therapy hours and blower hours?
I occasionally see issues like this from my antique. I always assumed it was a bug in the code, reading data from a previous day that didn't get cleared out correctly.

Is it kind of crusty? You may have had a nosebleed. The blood could have dried black where air was blowing.

Re: Health care reform and OSA
Look at some decent analysis of what the bill does financially You mean, instead of a politically motivated blog, that's pushing an agenda? I could quote a left-wing blog and prove the exact opposite, but why bother? I'd be just as likely to get facts quoting The Onion. I think I'll take the CBO ov...

Re: Health care reform and OSA
Is it going to force the online people out of business? Is ALL healthcare going to be at the hands of government? Is it going to be a crime to self-treat? Will a black market for health care arise? Will this crazy proposal bankrupt EVERYONE? Probably not. Stuff like that is more designed to scare y...

Re: Insurance companies will eat you for lunch
Now please shut the ____ up. Sir, Although I agree with your politics, that was uncalled for. Both sides have an equal right to be heard. I have seen other lists tear themselves apart turning a topic they all have a mutual interest in into a political screaming match. I would prefer not to see that...

Re: water n the humidifier water tank
If you must or want to use tap water and your not sure of it, then boil it for 10 to 15 minutes, let it cool, bottle it and use it. I emphatically disagree. Boiling makes water evaporate, which means that the end result is that you have *less* water relative to the number of mineral deposits Some p...
