I found the problem: the humidifier chamber slipped out of place. I pushed it back and all is fine now.

Drastic change in machine behavior
The 2 screenshots (Jan 2 and Jan 3-4) show a dramatic change due to a large leak for 86% of the time. In addition, when I turn on the machine, the incoming air flow has a high pressure when I inhale, right away after turning the machine on. Because of this, I cannot fall asleep despite the ramp. I t...

quick question from new AirCurve10 Vauto user
After 6 years with a System One machine I switched to a ResMed AirCurve10 Vauto. On the old machine, I found it very convenient to press the Ramp button whenever I woke up and needed to lower the pressure in order to resume sleeping quickly. There is no Ramp button on the AirCurve so what I did on m...

Re: does Medicare require doctor visits every 6 months?
Update I called the DME and they told me that the original prescription didn't itemize exactly the supplies and the frequency and they sent a fax with a detailed prescription form to the doctor. If the prescription they receive back says LIFETIME, then the DME will not require anything else in the f...

Re: does Medicare require doctor visits every 6 months?
SewTired thanks. I'll start by questioning the DME since the sequence was: 1. I called the DME where I have been ordering supplies for the last 2 years and placed a new order. 2. I then got the call from the doctor who said that for the order to be filled I must come for a visit. And during the visi...

OkyDoky thanks. It looks like a waste of money by Medicare and Medigap insurers.

Re: does Medicare require doctor visits every 6 months?
LSAT thanks. The only related mention I found in the document is For long-term PAP therapy, documentation from the supplier or physician must support that
the patient continues to use the PAP device. No specifics about the documentation required or the frequency.

does Medicare require doctor visits every 6 months?
I ordered the regular supplies (face mask cushion, tubing, etc) and the next day I got a call from the doctor who prescribed the CPAP machine more than 2 years ago telling me that I need to come for a visit in order for the supplies order to get through (“Medicare requirement” I was told). I am on m...

Re: Karens new mask liners are awesome!
Question: the liner came in today and once I set it up as described I noticed a hole in the liner for the nose but no hole for the mouth. Now, if you only breathe through nose this wouldn't be a problem. But I also breathe through the mouth (this is the main reason I use a full face mask in the firs...

After reading such glowing comments, I have to try this. All the members who commented have the same mask as mine (Mirage Quattro full face). I should order Mask Liner FFA, right?

Re: Self-titrating using an Auto machine
My machine doesn’t have "Opti-Start" or "Auto-Trial" options but, even if it had, after reading the link mentioned by Pugsy, I decided that I’ll continue my manual tweaking process especially increasing the EPAP min pressure

Self-titrating using an Auto machine
Browsing through the postings I saw several references to auto-titrating or self-titrating using an Auto machine.
Presumably you set up wide parameters and then adjust the settings based on what the machine figured out as optimal. Is there any guidance on how to do this? My machine is Auto Bi-PAP.
