Re: HELP - allergic to new heated hose
I'll give washing a try in a few weeks when I'm feeling totally better. I'll report back if it works :) Thanks! Reporting back: I took a really big bowl and filled it with dish soap and warm water. I dragged that hose through it again and again and again and again. I haven't had any reaction since,...

Re: Philips Respironics System One heater not heating up, stone cold
Good news! It seems that popping it open made something work. That means I now have time to go to my dr, get a requisition, go do a sleep test, and then get the government to pay for a new one.
Long live medicare for all LOL Thank you for your help!!

Re: Philips Respironics System One heater not heating up, stone cold
Okay...here's the thread where they talked about fixing the heater problem on the 50 series machine and I believe same steps would be involved with the 60 series. That is of course assuming that the burned out wire is the problem. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t102275/Fix-Respironics-System-One...

I tried that and it did not heat up at all. Is there anything else I could do to fix it? Thanks for your advice!

You're rightDog Slobber wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 9:33 amBefore calling ResMed, verify what machine you have.
Your profile and device name suggest you have a Philips Respironics, not a ResMed.

Philips Respironics System One heater not heating up, stone cold
Hi all, I noticed 3 nights ago my water was full in the morning. It's been the same every day since. This morning when I woke up I popped out the humidifier and felt the heater and it was frigid. The humidifier setting is 3 and worked until 3 nights ago. Is there some other troubleshooting I should ...

HELP - allergic to new heated hose
Hi all, I got a new heated hose in January, and within a week and a half of putting it on, my throat was swelling shut, nose was burning and running, and my eustachian tubes were hurting and swollen. I went to the doctor who diagnosed it as an allergic reaction to something. The only thing I'd chang...

Oops, didn't know I already had an account here. I've added my information.
The humidity is at 3, and I've always had a heated hose. My old machine was a Sleepstyle 200.
Thanks for your help!

I found your post in looking up exactly the same thing. I'll ask my doctor on Monday, but I did find this in the meantime: http://www.sleepnet.com/insomnia9/messages/388.html http://74.125.113.132/search?q=cache:nXW1CulIT-sJ:chrispeace.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/FA-CTS.pdf+%22alpha+eeg+intrusion...
