Re: Now I know why xPAP wasn't working...I have Epstein Barr

Lazyace - I was 49 at the time. Something I just thought of, I had mono when I was in high school. Does that make you susceptible to EB? From what I understand, EB is one of three viruses that causes mono, but people commonly assume EB and mono are the same thing. Although, EB is probably the most ...

Re: Now I know why xPAP wasn't working...I have Epstein Barr

Hey, LA, found this site looking for something else (doc suggested today that I get the shingles vaccine... suspecting it was in the herpes family, I was checking to see is it also required arginine to replicate). Might be worth checking out. http://www.lauricidin.com/micro.asp Note that this is ef...

Re: Now I know why xPAP wasn't working...I have Epstein Barr

Archway Coconut Maccaroon cookies are known to help many w/Crohn's disease. Seriously! Has to be the Archway brand. Probably 10 years ago I read Teitlebaum's book, From Fatigued to Fantastic. At the time it was the best book out there I thought for FM and CFS. Dr Martin Lerner in Bloomfield Hills o...

Re: Now I know why xPAP wasn't working...I have Epstein Barr

LazyAce, My husband was was 47 (in 1992-93) when he got hit with EBV -- he was out of work for six months because he was so fatigued that just getting up to come eat breakfast left him so tired he had to rest before walking back to bed. His doctor eventually prescribed high-dose B vitamins for him,...

Re: Help with a Resmed S8 II

LC, I might be wrong, but I think the Encore software is for Respironics brand machines. Anyway, the ResMed card reader is the way to go. I bought the software, USB adapter and card reader from a site in Australia at the recommendation of others here. It cost me about $300. I couldn't get the card r...

I'm glad, lacyace, that you've finally found the cause of your fatigue! I know this has been a difficult journey for you. I second that, glad you finally found out. Hope now you can get some relief. Momof2, I took your advice and tried reaching Ms. P, but apparently she books out further than the d...

Re: what are the reasons of different AHI from night to night?

All replies are probably correct. I asked the guy that scored my PSG the same question, and he told me that there are too many variables to really answer the question with any certainty. He said that what you eat/drink, when you consume it, nasal congestion, stress, time you go to bed, how long you ...

Re: Opening mouth

Mac, I have struggled with the exact same problem from day one. I tried a chin strap and found that it was uncomfortable and didn't work. So, I moved on to taping my mouth closed with medical tape. I folded a corner over so I could easily remove it if necessary. This helped a lot, but I also ended u...

Now I know why xPAP wasn't working...I have Epstein Barr

I have the good fortune of having two conditions contributing to my severe fatigue: OSA and EBV. Never saw the latter coming. I always assumed that teenagers got EBV (one of the viruses responsible for mono), not someone that just turned 41. Further testing will determine whether my infection is new...

You have not replied to any of my questions, which were meant to help you out of your confusion. You are making assumptions that leave you upset an confused -- and clinging to them tenaciously. I give up on trying to help you understand the issue. Any other reader interested in the RDI scale accept...

Re: One week and ready to give up.

I was not hooked up to a machine or mask during my sleep study. And the technicain at the sleep study wouldn't tell me anything. The next week I got a call from the medical supplier and was told I needed to come in and get a cpap machine. My doctor never called me. I called them however, and was to...

Standard linear numeric scale . Numeric values may be any mixture of integer or floating point (exponential/scientific notation e.g. 4.336e11 and 4.336e-27 is supported). Linear scaling is used for plotting continuous numeric data; it may also be used with undefined series, such as lineplots when n...
