Re: Do I find another doc...?
All of this and no mention of whether you ever requested and got a copy of not just the doctor's dictated results (1-2 pages each) but also a copy of the full scored data summary report w/condensed graphs (5+ pages each) for every in-lab sleep evaluation (especially) and in-lab titration you've had...

Re: Do I find another doc...?
Given I didn't sleep well last night with the added pressure -- I think I'll leave it at this setting until I get used to it and then keep bumping it up for the titration. Seems 1cm up I notice quite a bit. But then again it may have been anxiousness from making the change. If tonight doesn't go a b...

Re: Do I find another doc...?
Thank you to everyone for your good suggestions. For now, I think I'll switch over to CPAP mode and start titrating. I've started trying to do that in APAP mode and perhaps that's part of the trouble. Given my numbers stay mostly static pressure wise, I see no need to use fulltime APAP. I guess I'll...

I heard second hand of someone using one to help start a fire while camping (under battery power) -- something I definitely wouldn't try with my unit

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
So, I've been on it for 2 weeks now, hit or miss. I think the misses were due to 2 primary reasons: 1. Getting used to it 2. Making too many tweaks too fast and being uncomfortable with the changes So, I started trying something 4-5 days ago. I changed my set pressure to 8 and have left it there unt...

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
I'm gonna bump the min up to 8. My AHI got worse again last night. Anyone know if there is a correlation between antihistamines and apnea (e.g. claritin or zyrtek)?

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
7 hours on the third night. You are mastering CPAP quickly. You mention sore throat. What about leaks? Need to watch out for mouthbreathing which can cause dry mouth and sometimes sore throat. If your leak is OK you are going to need at least 2 cm additional pressure. I've been watching leaks caref...

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
Just got up from my third night. Pressure display is listed as 9 and change, AHI of 13.2. Makes me think the bottom pressure should be upped another 2 notches, but I think I'll wait another day or so before I play with it more. I slept for just shy of 7 hours. I could have slept more, but needed to ...

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
If it were me, I would bump the pressure to 8 - 20 tonight. But waiting for the software is also a reasonable approach if it is coming soon. I don't know how long it takes them to mail it from cpapaustralia.com to me. I used normal shipping so probably longer than I want to wait. I may bump it to 8...

Re: 2nd night on cpap! Help
Hey, We can be n00b buddies, we both started on the same night. I had the same issue the first night. Here's what I did: I upped the minimum pressure to 6 I enabled EPR (the exhale pressure relief), set to 2 The first change was to ensure there was enough air flow that I felt like there was enough a...

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
K, What is your pressure? R, Its set to 6-20 (DME set it to 4-20). I never have been titrated so want to leave the top high enough to get range data. I upped the bottom end figuring the worst its likely going to do is make it more uncomfortable. But, my AHI improved last night over the prior (thoug...

Re: 8hrs and 2 attempts
I think I got 5-6 hours of sleep last night. Tried to get a bit more but couldn't fall back asleep. I'll consider that a win for the night. One step at a time, but seems a giant leap from the 1 hour I think I got last night.
