Resmed Universal Headgear alternative?
I'm looking for a Resmed universal headgear alternative. I wanted to buy it from CPAP.com but they can't ship Resmed items to Canada. Will the Universal 4-Point Headgear for Nasal CPAP Mask work? Alternatively where do you ORDER ONLINE in Ontario? I'm sick of paying full price to my Vital Aire rep. ...

Re: OT - Forum Suggestion
Your search results are only as good as your search terms. If you don't know what you are looking for you can't really expect to find it, can you? You'll have to sift the posts anyway. Granted forum search queries are NOT always search engine friendly. Some forum software is more antiquated than oth...

Re: Do You Keep Backup Parts?
Wow guys thanks for all the helpful replies. I am just now realizing how screwed I am lol. The CPAP supplier I was directed to (Vital Aire) is so not willing to see me go anywhere else but them for parts. I did manage to find out the name of the sleep clinic doctor today though and I have to now get...

Do You Keep Backup Parts?
I have had a very bad experience recently with my nasal cushion ripping on a Sunday. I was up 30 hours before I could even find out if my CPAP distributor had one in stock. I called them at 9am Monday morning and it took them 3 hours to get back to me. 3 phone calls, 3 different people to re-explain...

Re: I'm on my own in Ontario; as usual!
My pardon for not describing things here using the proper references to various parts. I assure you Vital Aire knew exactly what I was talking about. They have my file - which clearly indicates which pieces of equipment I own. Furthermore, to be doubly sure, I found a specific diagram of the headgea...

Re: How I overcame aerophagia
I thought I answered the "was it gas or was it aerophagia" question. I say both. I sleep on my back with my upper body elevated (pillow between the matresses actually) and that may alleviate the aerophagia issue. It sure makes it easier for me to sleep at all, that's for sure. And yes, it's an issue...

Re: Blisters from rubbing seal against skin? Yup blisters
I've gotten the blister(s) on the bridge of my nose. I've had my CPAP machine and nasal mask for over 2 years. Just got a replacement nasal pillow last week - it's the exact same model as I had before. Yet this blister is *there* with a swollen, hateful and painful vengeance. I've been using a banda...

Re: How I overcame aerophagia
I didn't know for sure that aerophagia even existed until I read it here on the forum. But I knew my CPAP machine was responsible for the excessive gas. Being a large woman, excessive gas is *very* embarassing. But I've lost 20 lbs recently and have made a huge change in my diet. The aerophagia is n...

Re: I'm on my own in Ontario; as usual!
I too am disgusted and appalled at the way I was treated over my CPAP purchase by Vital Aire - the supplier for my machine and various replacement parts over the years. I've been ripped off and charged through the roof because I didn't know any better. Their customer service is pathetic - I had to g...

Re: POLL: What was your AHI at your diagnostic sleep study?
I am not sure if some of these medical references apply to Canadian products or not.. and I certainly don't know the meaning of them lol But my sleep test results indicated that I stopped breathing approx 119 times an hour. I had 2 overnight tests a full 8 hour period. And it scared me to learn how ...
