Question about complience and info from software
I started treatment 12 nights ago. I figured out that I have used the machine an average 5.4 hours per night (based on 7.5 hours sleep). Do you think this is good, average or bad for my first couple of weeks? A couple nights I took it off and didn't know it, but putting a pony tail in my hair has he...

Re: Today's My lucky DAY!!
Hi,
I'm one day behind you! I got my machine this morning! I am so excited and can't wait to go to bed.
Have you figured out how to turn the machine off yet? Simple, I know, but it just keeps running.
Congrats to you and good luck!
Cory

Question about SnuggleHose Cover
I'm just wondering how you clean the hose with the cover on? Shouldn't it be cleaned every day? Isn't it time consuming to put the cover on? Thanks a bunch.

Thanks DarkSide. This made me laugh. With the lack of brain power my spelling is not what it used to be.

Re: How old were you when you got diagnosed?
Hi Theresa, I'm 33 years old and a mother of 2. My son is 5 and daughter is 1. I was just diagnosed last week and waiting to start my treatment. I too have felt "young", but sometimes older is wiser (IMO). Or rather it's the experiences that others are willing to share with us. Good Luck! Cory Marys...

It's been a bad couple days.
I am so tired. Not only because of my sleep apnea, but my kids aren't sleeping through the night. I feel like I'm going crazy. I bet others think I am going crazy too. My patients; out the window. I've called my DME to see if the machine I'm ordering can be expedited. I'd get their low end machine, ...

Re: Attn: newbies, your brain may be fried....
Necro... I experienced the same thing today when I was on the phone with the DME. He told me that they sell the basic model cpap machine. And He thought it was weird I was asking about the software . After some research I decided to call the same dme and special order my machine and humidifier. And ...

Re: Where do I go from here?
I have read that the cheaper the machine the less quality. The M Series is $300 less than the S8 I have "had my heart set on" (according to cpap.com). But it's a special order. At what cost? Is it going to be much more expensive because it a special order? And is the wait worth it?

Where do I go from here?
Okay, I called my doctor on Wednesday like some of you suggested, and they sped up the process. The DME called me to schedule an appointment for next Wednesday the 26th. I asked if they carry the S8 Elite II CPAP Machine and they said it is a special order. Which would delay the start of my treatmen...

Re: Tired of the waiting game
I had my split sleep study a little over a week ago, and they put the mask on me 1/2 way through the night. The waiting is killing me! The doctor has 3 weeks from the study to call and make an appointment to go over the results. In the mean time... I am not sleeping well, waking up with headaches, ...

Re: Sex with cpap user?
I really don't know what this obsession is about having sex in bed at night when your tired. Back in the good old days when it was taboo you couldn't find a bed to have it in - you had in the back of a VW, behind the shed, in a bush, under a lab bench, in the dark room, in the stairwell - but never...

Do I have the process right?
Okay, I'm waiting on the results from my sleep study so I'm doing some research about equipment. This is how I think the process will go, please let me know if I'm missing anything. Review my sleep study with the doctor, get a prescription for a cpap and mask, purchase a mask (?) get a loaner machin...
