Resmed Usage data
I just started using the Autoset II for slightly more than a week. I am trying to figure what what does the USAGE data indicate. For example, "USAGE: 4:36hrs". I supposed 4:36hrs means 4hrs and 36min. But what does time indicate? Is it the therapy time or what? Anyone knows where I can find more inf...

Re: Is and SSRI like Zoloft safe to take with apnea?
Please only answer the poll if you are currently taking an SSRI I did a few searches on the board, but I couldn't find an answer, hence the new topic. Fairly soon, I may be going on an SSRI for anxiety/Panic Disorder/possible PTSD (my baby boy, Andrew, passed last September; he was a preemie) and w...

Remstar Daily Pressure Profile Report
Does the Encore Pro or Viewer provide Nightly Pressure Profile Report? I have noticed for the past 2 nights the pressure remained at 4cm after I woke up in the morning. It might be that the pressure has gone up to my usual peak and backed donwn to 4 without me knowing. So a daily Pressure Report wil...

Re: BIG UPDATE: NEW RESPIRONICS PR Series Auto CPAP Released!
Is there any real disadvantage of the M-Series Auto? That is the big question. I really liked my M-Series Auto (other than the noise level). My therapy and comfort greatly improved with that machine. I would not have even been looking for a change, except this new one came out less than 30 after ge...

Re: Auto CPAP Algorithm
I'd recommend that you fill out your equipment profile, so that we'll be able to give you better advice. An APAP responds to the precursors to apnea like snoring and flow limitations, as well as to actual apneas and hypopneas, so it's difficult to say for certain that you definitely have OSA based ...

Auto CPAP Algorithm
1. I have completed my sleep study(PSG and MLST). Study indicated I have AHI=6, MLST=6.5mins and O2 sat=94%. Doctor recommended Auto CPAP for a month to see I have OSA. I have using for about 2 weeks now. 2. The prescribed titration is 4 to 40 cmH2O. For the first few nights, the pressure went up to...

Re: comfortlite 2 mask
My current mask is too small and very uncomfortable. I am considering buying a comfort lite 2 it fits well with a good seal but i find the exhalation ports noisy. Has anyone tried a small piece of foam over the ports to muffle the noise. Most of the other nasal pillows don't seem to fit me. I am us...

Re: Low AHI, high O2 sat= OSA?
there is a 'wheezing' noise that wakes me up and kept me from dozing off again. And that is not due air leak, I check. Is it normal? That might be just the sound of the air coming out the exhaust port on the mask. This is completely normal. That' s what I thought too but it is not. It seem like air...

Re: Low AHI, high O2 sat= OSA?
Ask your Doc if you could have UARS (upper airway resistence syndrome). It is also treated by CPAP therapy. Thank you Muse-Inc. I did a check on the site Medscape Today on UARS. One of the diagnosis seem to be very similar to mine. Below is the quote "Polysomnography reveals AHI < 5, oxygen saturat...

Re: Low AHI, high O2 sat= OSA?
First of all, have you been checked for any other medical conditions that cause sleepiness - there are many, and a blood test could at least rule some of them out. If the PSG was correct, I would think you don't have OSA, but could have either another type of sleeping problem (there are many) or an...
