I'm with you Rooster. When do we go to New York?
Notice its there beside of Central Park close to the Trump Tower.
Might be a fun trip. Lots to do. (If we have any money left)

Re: Cardiac surgery and CPAP
Amazing! It is a wonderful testimony to the marvels of modern medicine that they have the high tech ability to implant cardioverter defibrillators. Thank you for sharing with us the details of such a wonderful piece of news of how you are being treated. I am waiting for the good news, soon to be del...

Re: Obamacare Will Pay for Prayer
Dear LinkC, You are a nice guy and I enjoy your spirit and humor. I don't think we are in much disagreement. I did not by any means intend to imply such a thought : "..Only healing comes from God." I myself am proof that it does not. I would not be alive now if it were not for a doctor's wisdom. (I ...

Re: Obamacare Will Pay for Prayer
This whole thing is appalling. Which Bible do the Christian Science adherents use? Certainly not the one I do. Have they ever read this verse? "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[a]drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." (Mat. 10:8) I have had prayer on ...

I continue to hear some bad things about the product. I've taken it several times to ward off colds.
But now, I don't think I'm going to anymore.

Re: Apnoea therapy improves golf game
Wow, there are some serious golfers there. "Providers typically attempt to maximise compliance with NPAP by promoting its medical benefits or warning patients of the risks involved in not being treated, but this approach does not always work," said Benton. "In the case of this study, the possibility...

I'm also sorry to hear of your friend. He is so young for this to happen. I've also lost some friends to heart problems. It is so sudden and unfortunate. I had a friend of mine (in my S.S. class) who is a pharmacist to recently send this email about heart attacks. If it helps just one person, it wil...

I visit my older brother in a veteran's rehab center, since last January.
I've met about half of the residents there, mostly in their 50's, 60's and 70's. (amounts to about 100 persons)
Have yet to see ANYONE there using a cpap. sad.

Re: Prevalence of OSA among the Elderly
They are telling us now (I believe we all suspected it before now) that doing new things and keeping the mind working will stave off dementia as we age. For example, surfing the internet has been proven to be beneficial, so I will keep taking a part in this forum to try to keep my mind working. So y...

I'm also sharing your grief. Life is joy, and life is sorrows. Sometimes the ones who brought us so much happiness also have to leave us. I've gone through it three times - father, mother, and oldest sister. Just I and my three older brothers now. Chances are I may see sorrow like that again, and it...

Re: Prevalence of OSA among the Elderly
"Elderly-ness" is all in the mind. I do not consider myself elderly. (at 71) I consider myself "older and wiser" and that I have finally reached a "mature" age. We are elderly when: (1)we dress old. (2)Our major topics of conversation when we get with our friends is "Have you heard of any new diseas...
