Re: Resmed S8 elite II
Press "left" and "right" buttons at the same time for several seconds. It should show "Review"->"Result" menu where you can see AHI and leak data.

Re: FUSTRATING!!!!
I have similar problem when I feel worse on a days when my AHI numbers are better. I noticed also that I usually wake up during night many times (~4 ) when my numbers are the best. I suspect that by waking up I interrupt my sleep and preventing REM sleep that makes me less rested but AHI number bett...

Re: Protecting the bridge!
I had similar problem with bridge when using Profile Lite mask. After I boiled this mask to fit I had better results. I still had some marks but it wasn't painful and usually these marks go away. But I didn't use Profile Lite for long (just for about 4 days, I actually just started CPAP, so far 8 da...

AHI and leak
Does AHI numbers are distorted by high air leak? I noticed today that my AHI=6 (highest so far, I was using CPAP for 6 days) but also I had highest leak=0.18 L/s. I recently changed mask so I wonder does my AHI improved because of new mask or because of air leakage. On separate note, does anybody kn...

Re: bridge of my nose HURTS!
I also just started on CPAP (about week ago) and had similar problem with my first gel mask (Resmed Profile Lite Nasal). My bridge was hurting in the morning and I had red marks for several hours. Two days ago I switched to "Mirgate Activa LT Nasal" that feels somewhat softer and better, I see some ...

Re: CPAP improved my cholesterol levels?
I remember seeing some study that links AHI and cholesterol levels: http://www.erj.ersjournals.com/cgi/content/full/27/1/121 "An independent relationship was found between the change of apnoea–hypopnoea index and the change of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol or triglycerides, respectively. All ...

Re: DME extra charge for mask upgrade
Just to follow up on my original post: My DME gave new mask without any upgrade fee and I got to keep old mask. I didn't need to do anything, not sure why initially they mentioned upgrade fee but looks like it all worked out itself and now I can just focus on my therapy instead worry about mask exch...

Re: DME extra charge for mask upgrade
> What exactly IS a basic mask? Have no idea. Probably just a way to charge more based on some random classification. Currently I got form them: "Profile Lite Nasal" (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/profile-lite-gel-mask-respironics.html) I want to try this one: "Mirage Activa LT" (https://www.cpap...

DME extra charge for mask upgrade
Is it common practice to be charged for mask upgrade? I just started my CPAP (5 days so far) and now want to try different mask. I called DME and mentioned that I want to try out specific mask and if they have it. I was told I can do it, but I need to pay $60 for upgrade (I can keep my old mask ). T...

Re: Quiet mask
Thank you very much for help! Will call my DME to see if they have any of these masks. I just started my treatment (so far 2 days on CPAP) so I assume I should be able to try out several of them via DME (or maybe just order from cpap.com directly). I did notice that second night was better, I wasn't...

Quiet mask
Just started my treatment yesterday and it wasn't too great. Have trouble sleeping mostly because of the mask/breathing noise. Every time I breath in/out there is a difference in hissing noise that wakes me up. Any recommendation on what mask I can try to reduce breathing noise? Currently I use "Res...
