Re: Prevalence of Sleep Apnea on the rise

Think maybe because people hear about sleep apnea a lot more than they did 15-20 years ago so there are many more people going in to get tested. Finally got my dad to get tested. He has been a big snorer since I was a kid and had never heard of sleep apnea until I was diagnosed and thought so what I...

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

mgaggie, I was never fitted for this mask, just wanted a change so ordered it and do the trial and error thing. Think the medium was going into my nostrils to much instead of just sort of resting up against the openings and causing discomfort. So far though I am really liking it. Thats the main thi...

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

Well I like that it was more comfortable. Started with the medium on the second night but right away it felt sore at a little tender in the inner-upper nostril openings so switched to the large and felt no discomfort. Also have the head gear fairly loose, easily get a finger under the straps and it ...

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

Well I switched to the large pillows for night 2 and were much more comfortable than the mediums. Also seemed like the air pressure wasn't as intense and could exhale more freely so will bump up the pressure a little tonight and see how that goes.

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

So I'm assuming that to large of a pillow would cause discomfort. I'm using the medium but can't see the small fitting as I don't have the smallest honker around.

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

Funny thing is I slept with the head gear on wrong, shoulda read instructions, I had the blue strap on top and the silicon strap at back of head but still slept great. The soreness started almost right away, not a lot of soreness just a little uncomfortable but I'm sure it takes some getting used to...

Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?

Hi, I just tried my new Swift fx for first time last night and went pretty good. Wife said I slept peacefully. I have used the Comfortgel original since day 1 about 8 years ago and never had any big problems, just wanted a change to something less bulky. I found my normal pressure of 12 was to much ...

Re: Eson mask sizing

Thanks for the response. I have never had a problem with any mask Ive had with sores or anything. Hmm now you have me wondering if I should try it or not. I sleep on my side a lot and thought this would be a good one to try. Also thought of going to the pillow mask but it seems so different from wha...

Eson mask sizing

Hi,

I can't seem to find any sizing on the Fisher & Paykel Eson mask. Thinking of trying it out but need to know what size I should order. Cpap.com couldn't seem to help me out. I use size medium with the Comfortgel Original.

Thanks
