Re: Nasal Pillows and Pressure
JL, I started with the Respironics OptiLife pillow mask and loved it, very minimal; wore it 17-18 months, then started mouth leaking (losing therapy air). Graduated to the RespCare Hybrid which covers the mouth and has pillows -- this one's good too! Both hybrid style masks are considered FFMs, but...

Re: Nasal Pillows and Pressure
I'm afraid that you've totally lost me!!! So sorry. If you were to purchase a nasal pillow mask system on your own. Which one interests you? Which one would you want? I'm afraid that I have no idea which one would be the best to try...I've never even seen one in person! I know y'all talk about the ...

Re: Nasal Pillows and Pressure
Janet, if you were going to buy a nasal pillow mask which one would you want to try? Guess the right one and I might be able to help you. I have one that is unused. I just got it to get a large pillow out of it and ended up not even using that large pillow. I will give you a hint. I use the Swift L...

Nasal Pillows and Pressure
My cpap is set to 14 and I use a nasal mask. However, it is a pain! I was told that my high setting makes it unlikely that I would do well with nasal pillows. What have you found in this regards for those that use or have tried the nasal pilllows. Are you on a high pressure? If I were to try one, I'...

Very Bummed Out
For the past 3 nights in a row, I have found it impossible to sleep with the cpap. I lay there with the mask on trying to get to sleep and no matter how tired I am, it doesn't matter, I can't sleep. I end up taking the thing off and in no time I am asleep! I've talked to myself and know I need to we...

This ever happen to you?
I woke up last night and my nasal mask was completely off my head, laying on the floor with hose still connected. I dunno if I pulled it off in my sleep or it worked itself off as I was laying on my tummy with my head turned to the side. Another thing...I woke up more times to go potty last night th...

Heavens To Betsy!
My nasal mask is better than the full face mask I had, but boy does it get annoying! It aggravates my nose where my upper lip and nose connect on the center cartilage and makes it sore. Also, my setting is 14 so it blows pretty strongly into my nostrils! I don't thinkI could snore if I wanted too! I...

Maybe Same Ol', Same Ol', But....
Please forgive me for asking questions that I'm sure have been addressed numerous times, but I am worried. I wonder how long it took y'all to start actually feeling lots better after you got started on CPAP therapy. I slept my first night with a nasal mask last nite and it was lots better than the f...

ARGHHHHH!!!!!
Well Folks, I got my new mask today and it's a petite size full comfort gel nasal mask by respironics. But would you believe that when I brought up that my cpap machine is just a BASIC one and does not record full data, the RT seemed puzzled by my remarks. She was like "the only time that info like ...

Re: And so it goes...
My mask was leaking so bad last night and irritated me so much that I finally gave up! I had to take it off for the rest of the night and so mom heard me SNORING. I can't get another mask until Tuesday. I will do my best to find out what's going on with my DME. Exactly WHAT does "DME" stand for anyh...

The mask I have is a Respironics ComfortGel Full. That's all I know.Kiralynx wrote: What kind of mask do you have? Bet there are some people experienced in that mask who can help you make it work better.
Also, look around for some of the mask test drives run on this Forum. (Oh, Babette....)
thanx,
