My Advice

I agree with the advice of not using a humidifier. I haven't gone out in my 5th wheel since being on cpap, but I have used a pretty cheap inverter with many things, including a computer. (I know that may not be wise, but it hasn't given me any trouble yet.) My best advice--and what has helped me out...

Nose sore

I was given a nasal mask when I started a few months ago, and I ended up having a bloody (literally) sore on the bottom of my nose. I ended up having to cut a bandaid in half and using that. It's a good thing I happened on to this site, or I was going to quit. It was here that I discovered the nasal...

I teach critical thinking, and I see a great deal of sound logic on this site. In principle, the guest has a point though. (Don't throw anything at me, please.) I'm certain my doctor has significantly more training and education on health and the human body than I do. I couldn't do his job as well a...

I also have a waterpik with a special nasal tip that helps clear the sinuses, but the pump went out. My usual is flonaise and alegra...

Thanks nighthawkeye. My best friend is a hawkeye. (He's from Demoines--even went there with him once. Nice city.) I've been lurking for a long time. I'll pay the price. . . but not as much as I would have paid had I not come across this site. I would have given up quickly with the mask they gave me....

Like a used car salesman . . . or less! I might be jumping the gun a bit though. My DME billed over $2,600 for my equipment (almost six weeks ago); the exact same equipment costs just over $600 on cpap.com. (I bought my own Aura, as the nasal mask the DME gave me made me bleed under the nose.) I hav...
