Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
I use 10 min and 20 max.. It works for me and my threshold is 9.5 minimum...when I use that amount my AHI doubles. Thanks for the response. Last night seemed to be a very good night, if not slowly improving. Don't want to get too excited about it too early though. Last night my AHI was 4.4. (centra...

Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Thanks for the reply. EPR setting is 1, I believe. Sleep study results showed this time and last that my best pressure results were at 16. Dr had them set the pressure for my Auto-Set at 14-20.

Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Ok, I seem to have gotten leak issue under control for the most part. Two night ago, 95% rate was 15, last night leak it was only 8, very nice! Ahi was 5.2, which is probably a little high than I would like, but just re-starting cpap and first time with an Auto-Set, not sure. 9.9 hours of usage thou...

Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Have you tried nasal masks? I have tried the Mirage FX nasal mask through cpaplibrary.com's Mask Trial Program and really liked it (but haven't ordered one yet). The first mask I tried years ago was a nasal mask, but I was a dreaded mouth breather at time and we all know how well that goes with a n...

Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Actually I just noticed you are not a newbie so you should know all this. Doesn't mean I don't need to get hit over the head with a sledgehammer, feel like a newbie as I am starting over again. Thanks for the advice. Just got the mask. Was choosing between this one and the original Quattro. I am ju...

Re: 1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Hi Mike, Yeah, that's a lot of leak. With that much leak, you cannot trust the AHI numbers. Take a moment to go to User Control Panel and Edit Equipment in text format so we can see what machine and mask you are using. Not sure what you mean by edit.... It says S9 autoset and quattro FX mask. That ...

1st night reading with my s9 Autoset
Hello, Just downloaded my copy of ResScan and wanted to share my first nights readings. It seemed to me that I had a lot of leakage but not sure how to read the numbers. Any advice appreciated. Pressure (auto setting 14-20) Median. 14.0. 95th percentile. 15.5. Max. 16.7 Leak Median. 14.4. 95th perce...

S9 and ResScan Software
Hello all, I am trying to find out information about Software for my new S9 AutoSet. I have searched through some posts and found a few referenceing Uncle Bob. I saw one link/ post that referenced a 3.14 version but no link to it. Does anyone know if the Ver 3.13 will work with my New S9? Also, my d...

A-flex machine and information
Hello all, Had my review of my split sleep study. The study recommended another study with the mask on from the outset. It recommended a pressure of 16, which was also on my last machine, so I decided to go with that instead of sleepingover again. I asked a question about the benefits of an A-Flex m...

Oximeter
Wondering how many people use an Oximeter and if it is a good idea to get one? How readable is it? are there ones that can be hooked to a CPAP so the report comes with the CPAP report? Are you able to hook an Oximeter to a computer to get a nightly report?
Thanks, in advance.
Thanks, in advance.

Re: renewing CPAP usage
Make sure that you know exactly which models offer full data and those that do not. The presence of a SD card does not guarantee full data. The PR System One Remstar Plus with CFlex and the ResMed S9 Escape both have SD cards but they only gather hours of use data..nothing else. That is exactly wha...

Re: renewing CPAP usage
was thinking a new machine would be an option as I have a new insurance carrier since I last received a machine. Am I being naive on that? My wife works in insurance so she suggested new equipment.

Re: renewing CPAP usage
Why a new machine? That is a good question. My assumption is that, it the 2 years since I got this one new, there would be better technology out there. Perhaps a quieter machine (better for my wife and less guilt for me), etc. Other concerns I have is that I have not used my M-Series machine in like...

renewing CPAP usage
Hello all, I have migrated on an off of the CPAP a cpouple of times and now I am coming back to using it and going to try to stick with it this time. Went to Dr to try to get a scrip for a new mask, but had been two years since my last sleep study and with a new insurance provider, so he sent me for...

Re: First F/U with dr after cpap start was today
I already knew that I was still waking often due to back pain. .[/quote] I find the back pain thing to be interesting. Is this a pain that you had before? I only ask because I have now been on the CPAP a little over a month and find my results somewhat similar to yours (ie: still a little fatiqued.....
