Re: Oral Appliances: Let's Correct This Understanding

[quote="rooster"] I don't mind anything you want to say in this thread, but do you realize the OP is about how to determine up front whether an oral appliance might be effective? That an appliance was or was not effective for a certain person is off the topic. [quote] Sorry, didn't mean to ruffle yo...

Re: Oral Appliances: Let's Correct This Understanding

I gave up on my $1200 oral appliance several years ago. However, once I removed the bottom section with a pair of wire snips, I had the perfect upper mouth guard for preventative teeth grinding. Basically, for sleep apnea, it was a failure, at least for me.

New machine and mask $$$$$

So, I've been waiting patiently for pre approval from my insurance company for my new machine and mask. My DME said they faxed the forms in and it should take about 2 weeks. I thought I'd check my claim status myself by going on-line, just to see where it's at. I could not believe the price my DME h...

Re: NEW UPDATE: Respironics FullLife Mask - Release on July 20

Arizona, how do the straps feel from mask across cheek, to the back of head? I'm wondering how comfortable it is as they look to run fairly close to the eyes?

Re: Newbie help please!!

Hi, has anyone told you that your mouth is open when you're asleep? It happens to a lot of us and we lose all the Cpap air that way, so wear full face masks, or tape, sometimes chinstraps (but they aren't supposed to work as well). I'm not saying that's your problem, but it's very common and you mi...

Actually, there is, Forest fires galore ... but I can't blame it on that.. lol! My nasal passages were not blocked, it just felt like the machine was shut off.

First time I've experienced it so I'm wondering if it was some type of apnea event?
