FFM user here, and even with my humidifier cranked to the max and going through a full tank of water in 2 nights, I still often wake up with a dry mouth. Comes with the territory I guess!db238 wrote:I use a full face mask and I get dry mouth every night. Am I doing something wrong?

Sound like a Hypnic Jerk:

I get them every now and then, usually when I'm really tired and fall asleep very quickly. It's quite the interesting feeling to be falling one second and jolt awake safe in bed!

Break-away hose connector?
I keep my machine on a small stool next to the bedside, it sits about 2 ft off the ground. Twice now in the past 6 months I have woken up to my machine being on the floor! The first time it wasn't a big issue since the machine was right side up (like I had picked it up and set it on the floor in my ...

Re: Need to Vent and get words of wisdom
I started out with a nasal mask as well, and it just did not work for me. My nose is almost always 75% plugged, so breathing only through my nose was not an option. The Dr at first suggested nasal sprays, flushes, etc, but none of that worked. Once I switched to the full face mask things got greatly...

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?
Every 2-3 weeks for me, or if I notice any floaties or film when I'm adding water. I use distilled water, the one time I used even fitered tap water I had a buildup in the tank after only 2 days.

Re: leaking from eye?
YES how weird is this? Lying in bed, feeling an occasional pop as a bubble escapes from your eyelid... I found that if I rub along the side of my nose, up to my eye and rub my eye a bit to sort of collapse the tear duct, it stops it long enough for me to fall asleep. In other eye related news, often...

Mask setting on machine?
I've got 4 options on my machine for mask selection:
Standard
Mirage
Full Face
Ultra Mirage
Which setting best jives with the mask in my sig? I've been using Full Face and getting good leak numbers, but I don't know if its the right selection.

Re: New Respironics FullLife Mask - Release on July 20
My current mask works pretty good but I like the looks of this one and I'm always willing to try something new to see if it works better.

Woo made it through my first night!
After 4 years of on again / 99.99% off again casual use of my CPAP machine, 4 different masks, intermittent pestering from my wife and parents to use the damnable machine, I can finally say that I made it through my first whole night without taking the mask off! Things changed about 2 weeks ago when...
