Re: Sleepyhead review

Good point. I usually sleep on my sides but I hurt my ribs a few months ago sleeping on poor quality hotel beds for work. My rib pain timing aligns with the problems I have been having.
And if the Rx cannabis is too strong I can pass out on my back like a rock.

Sleepyhead review

Hi folks. Member since 2009 but I have not been active on the board since Jan 2018. I was hoping to post some data to help sort out some issues I am having. I have not been to a sleep study for over 10 years. I not given my setup much thought until recently. Way back March 2018 I put myself off auto...

Re: AirFit F10 Mask Replacement Schedule

This thread shocked me. I've had my Quattro FX since 09/09/2010 and never changed the cushion!
I use pad-a-cheek liners and change them regularly. And hand wash the cushion when needed.
What happens in 1-2 months to cause the need to change the cushion?

S9 with Escape 150 power pack

Another user I know recommended that I use a Goal Zero Escape 150 power pack with my cPap when camping. http://www.goalzero.com/p/16/Escape-150-Power-Pack It claims to have a capacity of 150 Wh, 14,000mAh I suspect the device they shipped me is defective because I can only get 1-2 h use out if it. I...

Re: Oral appliance designed to stop mouth leaking?

I currently have Silencer and it works to stop me from snoring. I am thinking about trying the Somnodent to see if I like it because it allows you to open your mouth and talk. This is a benifit to me because I only use oral devices to prevent snoring while flying and its nice to be able to talk to a...

Re: Oral appliance designed to stop mouth leaking?

My wife is a dentist and I had her make something for me that I dreamed up. If you can imagine a mouthguard used in sports. But they typically only have an impression of the upper teeth and allow you to open and close your mouth. This had more material and had an impression of your lower teeth also....

Re: Is it weird that I dont like my pressure too low?

Like I said, cold is gone. A very stressfull week is behind me. Normal sleep has resumed. Im impressed that with the new mask and masine I have been able to get my AHI down to zero. Flow has improved but not sure how it compares to others flow. I read the article in the link. Very interesting. What ...

Re: Is it weird that I dont like my pressure too low?

Is 8-12 still a good setting based on this data?

For my education why keep at 12 if when set to 20 it creeps up to 18 and 14 on those nights?

Re: Is it weird that I dont like my pressure too low?

Im at the tail end of a cold and also have summer alergies. My nose has been pretty blocked up, so if I close my mouth I may have had a flow limitation?? I have a large soft pallet and years ago before being diagnosed I went to get a LASER ASSISTED UVULOPALATOPHARYNGOPLASTY (LAUP) for snoring but th...

Re: Is it weird that I dont like my pressure too low?

I knew 4 was crazy low but I thought thats how a lot of people set these machines. It would be great to get some tips on my setup. I have had a really stressfull weekend so Im not sure if these stats are representitive of my normal nights sleep but I am happy to have people look at the numbers. My s...

Is it weird that I dont like my pressure too low?

I just got a S9 autoset. I used to have straight aPap set to 9. I put the autoset in 4-20 range but hated the low when the machine started. I felt like I was starving for air. Kinda cloaustrophic. I turned the pressure up to 6 and turned off the ramp and now I am much more happy. It is weird that I ...

Just got S9 autoset and need link to software

Last night was my first night on the S9 autoset. Looking at the screen it looks like it used an average of 12cm. I have been on straight auto for a while and assumed lately that that was too low. Leaks were low and AHI was below zero. Im looking forward to seeing the detailed numbers. Can someone PM...

Re: Auto machine recommendation

Thanks Pugsy. Seems there are noise complaints on both. Thanks for the link. About a year ago my wife packed my MSeries with water in the humidifier. Still works but ever since the motor is louder on the exhale. My wife and I are heavy sleepers so it doesnt bother us. I am sure either of these two w...
