Re: Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
I am getting enough air 99.999% of the time. The machine works fine. I'm not complaining. I have only very small leaks throughout the night once in a while. I have two other CPAP machines that I use when traveling. A Transcend and an AioMed. They don't exhibit this symptom as I don't have humidifier...

Re: Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
I had the reverse happen to me, that is, slightly reduced air flow with the H5i humidifier connected. Personally, I much prefer the air flow characteristics with the humidifier connected. During the summer, I’ve been using the S9 AutoSet with the H5i humidifier and a standard sized hose. I recently...

No insult, an observation.
This forum needs an ignore button.
Never mind, I found it.

Re: Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
It is a sensation and I simply asked if anyone else had it.
Since you all seem to want to argue and try to prove me wrong, I'll leave this thread and leave you to argue among yourselves.

Re: Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
The sensation is that when I have the humidifier and Climateline hose on, I can inhale faster than the machine can provide air flow. Without the humidifier and the standard hose I don't have this issue. It's something that I notice when I first get into bed and prior to my breathing slowing down, I...

Did a little digging and found this in the clinicians manual.

Re: Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
Exactly what I said. The volume of air flow is noticeably less with the humidifier and or Climateline hose. Back to back comparison reveals it. I know it's not a leaf blower. I've been on xPAP for over 15 years and kind of know what to expect. The humidifier and hose on the S9 cause some restriction.

Anyone else sensitive to flow loss with humidifier?
For most of the year I do not use the humidifier or Climateline hose on my S9. When the air gets dry, as now when we have the AC on I add the humidifier back on. What I really notice is the loss of air flow. It seems really restricted as opposed to when I use a Slimline hose and no humidifier. I won...

Re: CPAP machines and enhanced airport security
I fly weekly and have for the better part of 20 years. I've seen no difference with the "heightened" security. I'm not sure why anyone would tell TSA about OSA. You simply put your xPAP machine in a bin by itself. Leave your hoses, power supply, mask, etc in the case. Put the case on the belt separa...

Is there is a machine replacement schedule?
Anyone know if there is a xPAP machine replacement schedule? I've been on xPAP for about 14 years and am on my second machine that was bought by insurance. I've bought a couple of others out of pocket as travel machines, (PB GoodNight 420 and now an Aiomed Everest 3) As mu Everest 3 is no longer mad...

Power Supply Aiomed Everest 2 or 3
I've seen several requests lately on this and other CPAP forums asking where one can buy a replacement. As these machines are discontinued and even the company gone out of business, searching the company fielded no results. This is my travel machine (I travel about 100 nights per year) and is one of...

Re: That first unmasked breath in the morning...
I really enjoy that first breath when it is nice enough outside to be sleeping with the windows open. I love the smell of the morning as the sun comes up.
With the windows closed, I really don't notice any difference.
