Re: Snoring?
I have a really weird case anyway. So figuring out anything with me is always difficult. My sleep doctor called my case unusual and interesting. My diagnosis is Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome. I don't have a lot of issues where I stop breathing, but I have issues with having a lot of trouble breat...

Re: Snoring?
I bet it's my crappy mask then. Hopefully it's just that. I also just bought a cover for my hose. I'm guessing the condensation that builds around the sides of my mask isnt' helping anything either. My pressure is set at 5/10. Average AHI's have been 3.2.

Snoring?
My husband said that the past couple of months he's noticed I've been snoring more and more while using my bipap. It was so bad last night that he slept on the couch. I thought I woke myself up a few times in the past couple weeks due to snoring, but I didn't think that was possible with my bipap. I...

Re: Nose Piercing with Bipap mask?
Oh man was I tired when I posted that last night. I did mean to say Mirage LIberty, not Hybrid. lol Thanks for the advice. That helps a lot. I guess I'll check into it and see if I can get a piercing with a flatter back to make sure it doesn't interfere with anything since it would be a few months b...

Nose Piercing with Bipap mask?
I've been toying with the idea of getting my nose pierced, but I don't know if that would work with my bipap mask. I have two masks that I switch between depending if I'm congested or if my nose is getting red or whatever. I have the mirage quattro full face and the mirage hybrid full face with the ...

Re: Help with my Liberty mask
To get the small liberty you actually have to get a whole new mask because the small cushion will not fit. If the Quattro works ok besides the irritation on the bridge of the nose try getting a gel pad that goes on the nose to create extra cushioning. Really? When I was looking online, it looked li...

Help with my Liberty mask
I've been using my Liberty mask a few weeks now. I have been tweaking it trying to get it to fit right. I thought I finally got it on Friday night. No leaks, no digging into my face anywhere, the nasal pillows stayed in place. But, last night was pretty horrible. It must have shifted at some point a...

Anything I need to know about the Liberty?
I'm finally getting a new mask. I had no idea I could get a new one every six months. I've been putting up with this full face, digging in the nose, mask since I got my bipap in Aug 2009. The closest DME place that my insurance will deal with is an hour away. I've been sick for the past two weeks an...

Who do I ask?
It was a long process from sleep study to insurance approving my bipap. Sleep study in May. Finally got bipap in August of 2009. I have not had any contact with the sleep doctor since right after my study in May 2009. I had to get a replacement hose in the begining of this year because mine cracked....

Re: Bronchitis
Thanks everyone! I feel so much better today! I really think using my bipap was a huge help since I could turn the humidity up and keep all that nasty mucous loose. I don't think I would be able to sleep without it. I've had it for a bit over a year now and it has been such a God send! I'd love to l...

Bronchitis
I was diagnosed with a nasty case of bronchitis today. I have antibiotics, an inhaler and some good codeine cough syrup. Hopefully that will help clear things up fast. But, I'm wondering if there's anything special I should consider when it comes to using my BiPap during a bout of bronchitis? This s...

Were you more tired at first?
The DME guy told me that I would probablly be more tired the first few weeks of using my bipap because I've never been able to get into stage 3/4 or REM, so once my body gets into those modes, it's going to want to stay there awhile. He wasn't kidding! I've had my bipap 8 days. The last 2 days I sle...

Re: First night with BiPAP S/T
I'm pretty new at this too. I've only had my bipap machine 7 days. I have the Mirage Quattro full face mask. It has this turn dial thing by the nose that you can turn in or out that will help get a better fit so you don't have those leaks. Maybe you could ask about that.
