I need some hope.
HI, Back in May of 09 I had my first sleep study. Central sleep apnea! I've tried 4 masks and nothing worked> I simply could not sleep. In August I went to my ENT doc because it was protocol after a sleep study. He said that my nasal passages were very narrow. Long story short, a week ago I had a se...

Re: Newbie wonders if there is a mask that works!!
The ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face mask and the Fisher & Paykel HC432 seem to be at the top of the heap with most ppl on the board from what I've read. I know I like my UMFF. I've also tried the F&P HC431 (predecessor to the 432) but it had a small leak near the top that I couldn't get rid of. I jus...

Newbie wonders if there is a mask that works!!
Hello, I have been trying for almost 3 months to get acclimated to my bipap and have yet to find a mask that is comfortable and that doesn't leak. I started using the liberty with nasal pillows and it seemed to work for a few days, and then became so uncomfortable by my chin I just can't wear it. I ...

there is hope!!
Just wanted to let someone know that I slept over 4 hours for 3 consecutive nights without taking my mask off. It has been a difficult few months, but at least I have some hope now that I can make it. The NP lowered my pressure to 10/6, I use the ramp, and I take 1mg of lorazepam before bed. I could...

Re: Anyone out there diagnosed with Complex Sleep Apnea
Thank you all for your replies. It helps to know that other people share this "complex" disorder. It gives me hope that I can adapt.

Re: HELLLLLLLLP!!!!
I am now using the Mirage Liberty full face mask with nasal pillows. It just seemed like the pressure was so forceful I couldn't get a breath.

Re: HELLLLLLLLP!!!!
So I should call and demand an appointment with the MD? I think you're right, otherwise I feel like I just can't cope right now. okay but still - complex sleep apnea isn't the usual way it comes - most ppl here have OSA only even for CSA a sleep doc who isn't board certified might not be much help a...

Re: HELLLLLLLLP!!!!
I have never seen a doctor only a NP. There is only one sleep study doc at our clinic and I have yet to see him. Haven't had a follow-up since the sleep study in May 09. I have asked to talk to the NP but only get the MA who talks to her and then gets back to me.Tomorrow I am calling and specificall...
