Re: When Size Does Matter
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm reading and processing... I'm going to start looking for an oximeter now, though depending on the price, I may not be able to get one this week. My quality of sleep has been, I would say... "good." I haven't been waking up with that feeling of having bricks on m...

When Size Does Matter
Just a brief recap of my experience: I first started using xPAP in June. So just a few months ago. I don't know how long I've suffered from the symptoms. Probably for years, but over the previous year, the symptoms had gotten very obvious to me (like I would wake up gasping for air.) I didn't have h...

Re: How early should I get to the airport?
Good advice, everybody! I will be flying southwest. It was the only non-stop flight they could find. The flight's only supposed to be an hour and 45 minutes. LOL All that prep for such a short little flight. I wish they would have let me drive.

How early should I get to the airport?
I have never flown before. Got to fly from New Orleans to Orlando for some new job training. My flight leaves at 3:05 on Sunday afternoon. What time should I get to the airport? I found a website that said about 90 minutes. I want to be there in plenty of time because I don't know anything about it....

Re: The Symptoms Just Come Right Back, Don't They?
I just wanted to update since you all were so kind to help me out with suggestions. Last night I used Afrin (which expired in 2007 LOL) and Nasonex both at the same time. After I did a saline flush. I don't even know which one of them worked, but my head started deflating immediately! I also took th...

Re: The Symptoms Just Come Right Back, Don't They?
Muse, I am pretty sure I've got some Afrin. I like the idea of how you take it to prevent rebound. I've also got some Nasonex... I don't guess that would help any? I've been using a 3 cc syringe (no needle, of course) to irrigate my sinuses with salt water, as needed, for a few years and it has work...

Re: Apneas during Meditation/Guided Imagery?
Carbonman, I may be calling what I do the wrong thing. I don't have a good mental definition of 'meditation.' I've long time suffered from obsessive thoughts and restless limbs. About 20 years ago when I was a teenager I had a therapist (a psychologist) teach me those relaxation techniques to try to...

Re: The Symptoms Just Come Right Back, Don't They?
Cassandra, At the club stores (I have a membership at Costco), they're selling generic Zyrtec for $17 for a year's supply. Don't pay a lot for it cause it can be had for MUCH less. I would also suggest going with the Neilmed kit as opposed to the Netipot: http://www.neilmed.com/usa/index.php I do i...

Re: The Symptoms Just Come Right Back, Don't They?
My sinuses are always at least somewhat closed. And it gets worse when I am in a horizontal position. So. I went straight for a Mirage Quattro. Works great. Do you have access to a FullFace Mask? Roescht, yes. I was using a full face mask. It was actually helping me keep my mouth open. I positioned...

Re: Apneas during Meditation/Guided Imagery?
I did. That's how I figured out I had apnea to start with. Some people think it is weird, but I usually meditate while lying propped up in bed. And I'm pretty sure it was an obstructive apnea. It went like this: I would be doing measured breathing, and start relaxing every joint in my body (I always...

The Symptoms Just Come Right Back, Don't They?
Man, I have a hellacious head cold. I haven't had a fever or anything, so I have to think it's not a real cold. Just allergies or something. I could NOT use my machine last night. I put a mask on. And aside from snot running all over the place (you are welcome for the mental picture!) with the press...

Re: PAD A CHEEK Nose Bridge thickness pad trial results here
Goll dangit, BB!!! (hopping up & down like Yosimite Sam) I had to get up and go look! After some intensive research and comparing pictures, I've decided I'm almost... say... 83.7% positive that it was an Ultra Mirage that I used for the purposes of the trial. I'm gonna go try to correct that in my p...

Re: PAD A CHEEK Nose Bridge thickness pad trial results here
I started using the liberty mask exclusively leading up to the trial and it was causing a permanent zit on the bridge of my nose. Hi, Cass. The Liberty is an oral cushion with nasal pillows, so how did it cause problems on the bridge of your nose? I thought the PAC nose-bridge protector relied on a...

Re: PAD A CHEEK Nose Bridge thickness pad trial results here
Ok, now I feel like I have been doing this long enough to relate my experience. Before starting the trial, I had been rotating three different masks to avoid irritating the same spots over and over. But I started using the (liberty mask--Nope. Not that one.) Ultra Mirage exclusively leading up to th...
