Re: Selling fingertip pulse oximeter in good price from CHINA
Thank you for the info. My Chinese is limited to words like fang-pi and bing-chee-ling. That's pretty much where my knowledge of pulse oximeters is as well. I'm trying to get my head around the prices here. $153 is the starting price? DSM, your price list then jumps up to $850. Is there anything bet...

Re: Is there such a thing?
The Intellipap has an auto-off mask function that turns it off if the mask free-flows for something like 30 seconds.
I like that. I don't like that I gotta have the mask running to check data.

Re: CPap design flaws
The hoses and masks we use can't be compared to those little oxygen widgets in hospitals because of the pressure involved. The other thing to think about is how relatively young this industry is. I'd say there's definitely room for improvement, but that just takes time. Given the steady stream of ne...

FFM 1st vs. Later
Yeah. So. My doc explained a lot to me about the benefits of nose-breathing, but it's with a sense of distrust that I wait. I'm paying out of pocket overseas. Between activa nasal and opti360, I think I'd sooner do the full facial than all of that other stuff that makes nasal/pillows a ffm anyway. T...

Re: CPAP machines/Masks
Hi,With Resmed machines, you need to program in the mask you are using.
I'm just curious about the above. Does that mean ResMed machines adjust for certain masks, or is it just for generating reports?
Thanks,

Re: How many have had surgey and are still on cpap?
Hi and welcome, As soon as I heard about sleep apnea, I was 99% sure I had it. That was about 10 years ago. I spent a good part of the past 10 years thinking that I should get checked out. Without much research at all, I had decided I was getting surgery because I didn't want to wear a mask. Stories...

French kissing the back of my teeth?
So I'm trying to deal with exhaling through my mouth. I've read on here about people who use tongue position to prevent this. I specifically tried to touch the roof of my mouth, but I find this causes chipmunking, and it's hard to imagine my tongue staying there as it's not really a restful position...

Um, yeah, while this topic is floating about, how long do people generally use hoses, and how do you decide it's time for a new one?

Re: Days 3-22--Thoughts, Issues, and Questions
Update time. For those not interested in color commentary, two questions have arisen for me: Has anyone tried using an athletic mouthguard to prevent exhale puffs? Are there any concerns about mixing cpap with scuba diving? Day 22 I start using the IntelliPap/opus 360 combo. Though I was positively ...

Re: Mask for Sale: $1450.00
Hi Acurest and welcome, A key aspect I got from your website is that you say your mask will last for three years. Considering that 3-6 months seems to be the far more common lifespan for a mask, that a) is critical in justifying the price and b) begs the question of what the mask is made out of. Are...

Re: Pain
I had almost the exact same problem with the same mask 3 weeks ago, but it was my lip. As Muse suggested, I had the mask tightened way too much. Try resting it on your face, then just adding enough strap to keep it from falling off. Note that you can also adjust the angle of the forehead piece. Agai...
