Snoring and Cpap

I am doing real well with the machine. Haven't been on it for quite 30 days yet, but my numbers seem real good, and I am feeling more refreshed. My question is that the data still shows that I am snoring some ( average about a 3). Is this normal? My wife says she doesn't hear me snore anymore, So I ...

Good luck this time around. If you really want it to work, you've already won a large part of the battle.

Re: Woo made it through my first night!

Congrats on your first complete night. As a new "hose-head" myself it does feel good to be making progress, and waking up less tired each morning, than when you went to sleep. Keep making little steps, and you be there before you know it. - David

Re: Don't Want to Die (follow up)

I am able to seal off the mouth leaks with just my tounge. And the software I use shows that I stay sealed all though the night. I can even hold the seal with my lips slightly apart. So I guess that everyone is a little different. And I do much better with a nasal mask, over a full-face mask. Might ...

Re: ? on hose and mask

I did the split study. So after 2 hours of sleep, they put me on the machine. They tried the nasal mask at first, and I laid there for over 30 minutes just listening to the sould ofthe machine and couldn't go to sleep. I felt ok, and think I was just concentrating on breathing with the new adventure...

? on hose and mask

I am a new hose-head so still trying to figure it all out. My question is related to only breathing fresh air, instead of rebreathing the same air. I was given a F&P Flexifit 431 mask to start with, and noticed that it has a small fitting that is between the hose and the mask elbow, that has what I ...

Re: Tonights the first night

So if you subtract the mask leakage rate, does that mean that my actual leak rate was about 6.5 l. - Is that a good rate. I'm guessing that is just last nights average of no leaks, and largee leaks as the pressure increesed.

Re: Tonights the first night

Well I just went back in to empty the water out of the humidifier (do I need to empty this every morning?) and noticed that my numbers are now up on screen. May not have had quite as good as night as I thought, but still a vast improvement. Going to have to work on the leaks. AHI - 3.3 (I was tested...

Well I made it through the night. And seemed to get some sleep. Thanks to all that have replied with encourgament & help. I think I did pertty good, but this morning as the pressure went up (I think my apnea and sleep is worse the longer I sleeep) I started to have more issues with the mask leaking....

Tonights the first night

Well I did get my machine today, and have listed the details down at the bottom. So I'm ready to start a new chapter of my life. Hope I can get some sleep before the sun comes up. Mask seems to seal at low pressure, but starts leaking as the pressure goes up. Have tried to loosen the fit up, and the...
