Fear not; you will do fine with a full face mask. Just remember it takes some time to get used to.

Sort of funny CPAP story . . .

So there I am - away for the weekend and of course I brought my CPAP machine with me - can't sleep without it. I notice that the table next to the bed is a bit higher than normal but don't think anything else about it. I put on my mask, hit the button, and I'm off to sleep in a matter of minutes. Ar...

Nose Bridge Redness

How do I prevent my mask from leaving a red line on the bridge of my nose?

GETTING USED TO CPAP

I am writing this to help give the definitive responses to anyone recently diagnosed and attempting to sleep with a CPAP machine for the first time. My purpose is to help those newly involved in CPAP to understand that there is an adjustment period. It can be extremely difficult. Whether you wear Na...

Statistics?

Can someone please tell me how to get to and read the stats on my sleep from my machine (below)?

Thanks!

I never realized it would take me so long to really get used to CPAP and the full face mask. Nevertheless, after two months I've finally adjusted and I don't pull the mask off any longer (thanks to friends here who warned me against it). I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm experiencing so ...

Full Face Mask Leaves Forehead Imprints in the Morning

I guess the Subject above says it all.

I've adjusted but I still wake up a bit sore. Is there some kind of padding I can use to place over the forehead "plates?"

Thanks-

Changes

Wow- when I posted this question I never thought the positives would be so extensive. The doctor who did my CPAP study told me it would change my life but I never dreamed it would be like this.

Fantastic!

I'd like to hear from more people, too - keeping it coming!

Thanks-
Rich

CPAP and Cholesterol

Is there a link between using CPAP and better levels of cholesterol? For no reason at all since I've been on CPAP (about 2 months) my total cholesterol decreased by 20 points and all the rest of my numbers went in the right directions. Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree, but could there be a link...

Full Face Only

I tried the Nasal Pillows. They were uncomfortable and made my nose sore as hell. During my sleep study I used the full face and slept well. I remembered that a got one in exchange from my doctor. I have problems every now and then but since I'm a mouth breather I have the best of both worlds with t...

Dreams and CPAP

I've only been around for a little while but after roughly two months of CPAP I have some observations and I wanted to get feedback on them. First, forgive the topic but I'm a psychologist and I've had some interesting things happen to me since CPAP. First and foremost, I feel better and have more e...
