Re: CPAP for hypopneas?

I only had hypops during my lab sleep study with AHI f 62. My doc said hypops were markedly shallow breaths that resulted in O2 drops with arousal to a lighter stage of sleep thus less restful.

Re: Unexpected results of ditching the dreamstation for a resmed

When we had a local monthly members Face to Face meeting we had users who were not having good results swapped Respironics for ResMeds...the difference in refreshing sleep & much better #s for one was dramatic AN zip for the other who found the breathing algorithm dud not match his natural breathing...

Re: pressure range questions

Y'all are making me think I should just stick with S9 and it's data as I have now started to be able to sleep on my side and seeing a return of AHIs of zeros to a high of 0.6 finally. BTW, this all after I got my pressure range optimally set. Seem to remember Rooster and LinkC (remember them all you...

Latest ResMed APAP access full data ?

MyAir only gives a few stats, according to ResMed. My S9 will display all data for me to track. Apparently that data can only be displayed IF my pulmonologist "opens" that data to me. True? Any other options?

Your expectation is too short a time period if very high BP or severe category. Took 18 months of slow improvement before I was able to ditch the BP drugs.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Wasn’t the for her setting exclusive to the s10? If memory serves, the 'for her' algorithm was only in effect for pressures <10. I can't remember if it exists in the S9; the ugly pink makes me think it is but my range starts at 9.8 so I paid little attention to the 'for her' info, although I bought...

Naturally, they are sitting on it.
They probably caught hell from DMEs who could not move S9s
because all the silly patients demanded Airsense 10s.
Gotta empty those warehouses!
I would gladly buy one or two unused S9s depending on the price.

Long thread and I may have missed it but what’s the size of the 11 and when will it be available for Canadians?
This post early on lists serial #s with Canadian tags suggesting same release date as USA. Also says same footprint as the S10. Then says this is a student engineering project.

Re: Who Keeps A Backup CPAP Machine?

I have all the machines I've used, all ResMeds, Escape CPAP (brick now my hose dryer), S8, two S9s. Several RespCare Hybrid masks with spare cushions and pillows, extra hoses. Time to run my spares to ensure all function properly.

Low levels of thyroid causes a high Thyroid Stimulating Hormone level. Thus can create what's called "air hunger".

Re: Type 2 Diabetes and Sleep Apnea

At least 10 years and 3 docs before someone found very high blood pressure then asked about my sleep, sent me to a sleep doc. Got a sleep study, then equipment. Sleep doc said to wait a year before changing anything as my blood was like a chemical stew and could take that long for it to be straighte...

My overnight AHI quadruples when I sleep on my back! So I go to sleep on my side and wake up, it seems to me, in the same position and stiff as a board
