Re: resmed s8 auto cpap data card reader
The software is also needed for you to be able to utilize the information on the data card. So you need software, data card reader and the data card. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. The software isn't worth it to me right now. I'll just keep checking my machine daily and keep a "di...

Re: Is it just me?....
Thank's for the welcome P.
Thank's to you, I got into my machine and turned everything "on". Now all I have to do is figure out what all that data means! At least I know my mask isn't leaking (0.05) which really surprised me with all the rolling around I do. Thank's again

*Let me start by saying that I don't have anything against anyone asking questions in this forum. What I am about to say is merely an unbiased observation that I would like opinions on.* Is it just me or is anyone else noticing a dramatic increase of new forum members and of those forum members, al...

Re: If you have COPD please reply
Well I don't have COPD -- I have severe, persistent asthma and cough instead of wheezing. Because I was swallowing gunk instead of coughing it out, they added Mucinex to my meds mix, so I now can get rid of the phlegm. Further, I just started on CPAP a week ago myself.... Anyway, my pulmonologist a...

Re: If you have COPD please reply
I have COPD, was started on CPAP and the switched to VPAP (bi-level). But I can't really help you w/the coughing information. For years I coughed, a lot, and easily brought up mucus. It was a way of life for me. Then my family doctor scripted Spiriva. I used it faithfully for awhile, maybe a week, ...

If you have COPD please reply
I've had COPD for the past 10+ years. Last month I found out I had Sleep Apnea, got my first CPAP machine a few days ago. Before the CPAP, I would cough in my sleep and clear my lungs of fluid and congestion. Now, with the CPAP, I don't think I'm coughing, and that concerns me greatly! The past coup...

Re: Looking for empathy!! Nasal congestion
So are there any out there that just live with a problem of off and on congestion during the night with fragmented sleep and just live with it. I would like to know that I am not alone here with this problem. Just hearing from others will make me feel a little better. Thanks, Gary You're NOT alone!...

I need your help A.S.A.P.!!!
I need your help, A.S.A.P. in picking out a new mask. Got my very first machine/mask yesterday, and during the mask "fitting", the tech was having a hard time getting the mask to fit, and still allowing me to breathe. The problem is, (imo) the mask isn't WIDE enough. I have the Mirage Micro Nasal ma...

Re: Where A CPAP Newbie Should Start
Another newbie checking in and saying "Hi!". Got my first cpap machine (ResMed S8 Elite II w/heater) a few hours ago, haven't even tried it out yet. It's going to take me a few days to read thru some posts and TRY to get up to speed so I don't ask too many stupid questions! I know I'll have PLENTY o...
