Re: resmed card reader not recognized any more

SleepyT, I'm glad it worked. This forum has been very helpful to me.

There was a post following from vladesch, and I'm not sure if it was for me as I didn't understand it. I did post when I had success from the help of other posters re: this problem.

Re: resmed card reader not recognized any more

SleepyT, the following website is where you can get the drivers. Choose the one to match your computer system for the ACR38. http://www.acs.com.hk/index.php?pid=drivers&id=ACR38 The first time you run it, select to uninstall the driver, then run it again and do a fresh install. Drivers, like anythin...

Re: resmed card reader not recognized any more

Well, there is success ... thank you. I uninstalled / reinstalled the drivers on my Vista laptop (my main computer) and that worked. I guess it was corrupt. Prior to that, I booted up my XP desktop and the card reader was read successfully. It also read okay on my travel Vista netbook. After this te...

Re: resmed card reader not recognized any more

I can't say if it was right after an update or not ... sorry. I have Vista on my laptop. Can't think of anything 'I' changed to caused this. If it did happen after an update, what can I really do about it? I select only the necessary updates to Windows to go through.

resmed card reader not recognized any more

Hi all. Coming up on my 1yr anniversary with CPAP this week. I haven't been around the forum for ages but now have a question. I never had a problem reading my data from the ACR reader into the 3.7 software until a week ago. Now there is no audible sound when I insert the reader into any of the USB ...

Re: Traveling with C-Pap

I am currently traveling. I've been gone 3 1/2 weeks and 2 more weeks to go. I didn't have airline issues as I am taking the train for 8 nights in total (4 more to go). Since I went with coach instead of a sleeper, I had a great deal of difficulty keeping the nasal mask in position because of gravit...

Re: has anyone imported Rescan data across a network

I have since found how to direct the data to a folder of my choice. How did you do that? I keep all my documents pretty organized. I created a folder in My Documents labeled CPAP. There I have sub-folders for: my daily detail charts, 3 to a page in a Word doc; a sub-folder with Excel sheets of my d...

Re: has anyone imported Rescan data across a network

Thanks for that info Velbor. I guess I misunderstood the meaning of export / import in this case. I finally found the .rlk files along with all the pdf reports created. In my system, they are stored in C>Users>Public>Public Documents>Resmed>ResScan3>Patients>MyName. I couldn't figure out how to re-d...

has anyone imported Rescan data across a network

I will be going on vacation in a few weeks and would like to import all my Rescan data from my laptop over to my netbook. I know you can't view the charts at their best at that resolution, but I'll be away about 5 weeks and the netbook is easier to take than my laptop. I found the .csv files on the ...

Re: better understanding of why hypopneas remain uncorrected

It is easy to get caught up in an xPAP Olympics .....chasing after numbers achieved by other OSA sufferers undergoing xPAP treatement for no particular good reason other than they are perceived as better than whatever numbers you personally get. Also, xPAP therapy does not directly treat all sleep ...

Re: better understanding of why hypopneas remain uncorrected

From what others tried to explain to me in another thread, if your pressure is below 10 (with an APAP) the machine will try to chase the hypopneas. Over 10cm pressure it will not try to eliminate them unless there is a flow limitation (airway restriction) or snoring, because it could trigger central...

Re: better understanding of why hypopneas remain uncorrected

Good to hear that those numbers (O2) look good. I am going to follow-up with the sleep lab to see if they can explain why they only got me down to an AHI of 12.4. I wonder if 'everyone' normally gets to a titrated AHI of <5. If that's the case, then that means we all S/B able to reach an equivalent ...

Re: better understanding of why hypopneas remain uncorrected

Rosemary, my questions regarding your titration study are: 1. 12.4 AHI is nowhere near the "normal" 5.0. Why did they stop the titration before getting you at least close to a normal AHI? Do you know what your average and lowest oxy sat was during the titration? 2. Seeing as that 12.4 is during a t...
