Re: Best Pillow Mask for Z2 HME
I guess what I am digging for is a good pillow mask that will will allow an efficient use of an HME unit with my new Z2. It seems that most, if not all, pillow masks (and maybe most others) have a short hose attached that negates the effectiveness of the HME cartridge by putting it too far from your...

Re: Best Pillow Mask for Z2 HME
Thanks. I've been curious about the Bleep mask. Unfortunately, it appears on advertisements to have a short hose permanently attached which prevents efficient use of the HME. I will search the forum again to see if there is a hack to install a HME between the mask and short hose.

Best Pillow Mask for Z2 HME
I recently purchased a HDM Z2 Travel Machine and added a travel hose and battery. I like the setup so far. I haven't used HME with a travel machine but have missed it in drier climes or air conditioned rooms. I have used a Resmed P10 or Swift for many years but both have short tubes that apparently ...

Re: Back to Travel Machines - Z2 vs AirMini Questions
Whew! Thanks. I included way too much background in the previous post anyway. In summary, I: have been in the CPAP gig for about 16 years; have had several home and variety of travel machines (& many mask shapes and sizes); own and don't use a DME as I think I'm pretty handy at reading data, tweakin...

Re: Back to Travel Machines - Z2 vs AirMini Questions
You're right. I read it backwards - darn pain meds. I will try to delete this and look for answers a different way.

Back to Travel Machines - Z2 vs AirMini Questions
Thanks to ChicagoGranny, RIch, and Booksfan for helping me when I was looking at a new travel machine a few weeks ago. Just before making a decision, I had a health issue that put everything on hold. Thanks to a combo of modern and ancient medicine I will soon be ready for outdoor and travel again. ...

Thanks for replying to my "too much information" post! I try to will make a decision this weekend. Rich, I will check with my electrical engineer son as to how he made a mini USB to Transcend plug converter and get back. I think you can get the bigger capacity lithium batteries that will work with t...

Re: One More Time on Travel Machine Recommendations
Wow! I didn't realize how much I wrote until I saw it on the site. Sorry to all that actually waded though it.
Great idea. I just used a used bean bag with some of the non-slip shelf material. A mouse pad would fill the gap and help the slipping in one shot. Thanks.

One More Time on Travel Machine Recommendations
I will be retiring soon and am updating my CPAP equipment because I have a known quantity in my present insurance. I've been using CPAP nearly 100% for about 14 years. I have had two machines that I used for travel - a Aeiomed Everest that I still use as a fixed machine in a summer cabin without the...

Re: AirSense Vs Dreamstation
To help with closure of this thread, I recently bought the ResMed Airsense 10. It has been up and running for a few days so we are still getting to know one another and tweaking here and there. I understand now why it is hard to explain the comparison to other machines but there is a difference and ...

Re: AirSense Vs Dreamstation
Thanks again for the information and preferences, especially the wake-up reminder that technological change isn't always an advance for me personally. I am leaning toward the ResMed AirSense 10 as a result or your discussions and from what I have read here and elsewhere. I don't mind a bit of a chan...

Re: AirSense Vs Dreamstation
You guys are great! Thinks for your time. As far as familiarity, I can go between my old Everest Cpap at the lake place, my older Transcend Apap with no humidifier,, and the System One without noticing too much - except the Transcend sounds like a jet engine. It's fine tuning, relaxation, and habit....

AirSense Vs Dreamstation
I have been a nearly 100% cpap/apap user for over 14 years. I have gone through several machines for home, travel, hiking/canoeing, etc. as well as many mask models. For a few years, I was a regular reader and occasional poster on this site. Cpap just became part of life and faded from importance fo...

Re: Rest in Peace
I haven't checked in for some time and thought I would drop a new year's message when I found this thread. One reason I hadn't stopped by was that I fixed many of the things I had going on with my machine and treatment based on advice from Snoredog. I had also not followed his example and charge to ...

Re: Sandman Auto
Thanks Snoredog, I will check closer for central patterns and try your suggested adjustment to see what happens. I left the fast/slow switch on its default, fast, for now. I read a discussion you participated in a couple of months agot with SWS, Ozij, and others that included analysis of the IFL1 se...
