Re: Anyone glad they were diagnosed?
Yes I am... My PCP and I were struggling with high blood pressure that would not responded to treatment. After being on a CPAP for only two weeks, my blood pressure is dropping... Which makes me very happy given the family history with stroke! Given my sister and dad had OSA, it make me wonder if my...

Hi...
I find my Swift II works best if I keep the straps loose enough to easily slip two fingers between the back head band and my head. I leave the top head band pretty loose also...

Re: Humidifier Water Poll
I use distilled water. The tap water where I live is very hard and has a high lime level... even after going through the water softener. I would guess I would be cleaning the tank weekly and replacing it every few months if I used tap water.

Yoda....
Do you carry your script for your CPAP? Almost most all my travel is on regional jets and always plane-side checked my bag and carried on my laptop (pre-CPAP days). Still trying to wrap my head around how to deal with flying.

Re: ResScan Version 3.7 Software
I heard that ResMed is cracking down on customers obtaining the ResScan software and cpap.com is having troubles obtaining product. Any suggestions on were I might get the software?

Humidifier level vs. AHI
I have been using my CPAP for about two weeks now. I don't have the software for my machine, but I have been checking my numbers via the menu. I have noticed something I think is a little odd and I am wondering if it just part of my body adjusting to the therapy. If I set my humidifier level to "2",...

Re: Travel Question
Is there an alternative to taking the CPAP with you? Sleeping in a recliner? Using pillows to prop yourself up? Most of my flights are 90 minute jumps on commuters. The more you carry the bigger the hassle. I am actually consider just driving (drive out on Sunday and return on Saturday). Don't think...

Re: Medical ID Tags
I have a Medical ID tag for my Type 2 diabetes. It took a couple of weeks, but I was able to get into the habit of putting on my tags every morning. I also have an ID card I carry in my wallet. I am planing on updating my tags for my OSA.

Getting ready for my first night...
Picked up my CPAP this afternoon from my DME. I had to work with them and my Doctor to get the machine I wanted (S8 Elite II). I have the advanced data setting turned on so that I can see what happens... So I am ready to start on my way to a better night sleep! Searching through the CPAPtalk has bee...
