Thank you for your suggestions but I'm not using tape as I have a full beard (not goatee), and boil & bite wouldn't help...besides, 20cfm in nasal pillows lead to nose bleeds.
I have actually used the mouthpiece of a swimming snorkel with the tube plugged! That didn't work either.
