Re: Tiger Woods Defense: Sleep Apnea

I can see that great minds think alike on this one. Well, if she ever needs money, the National Inquirer will pay loads for the story: "I Beat Woods Insensible With His Own Iron, Then Wreaked Caddy To Provide Alibi"...

Re: Neti Pot Bad, Snot Good

For me, daily nasal rinses -- at least once, and more if something is going on in there -- seems to keep sinus infection at bay, which used to plague me no end. I use packets of salt/soda, and a Neilmed squeeze bottle (I have also used a waterpik with special tip). I'd like to stop; but the times I ...

Re: Obamacare Will Pay for Prayer

Other people's religions always strike one as odd.
As for the complexity of the present health care proposals, I don't understand why Congress can't simply vote on whether to extend Medicare to everyone. Sure would cut to the chase, as well as saving a lot of trees...

Re: A Reply To Leejgbt and Rooster

I believe I recall a study years ago in which OSA patients were allowed to adjust the pressure settings of their CPAPs up or down based on how they felt they were doing, and actually did quite well in fine tuning the titration. And, that was without the benefit of recording APAPs and software... Yo...

Yes you are. You will be paying for it!
We already do. The trick is figuring out how to pay less, hopefully by removing a few of the middle men...

What are the other causes of sudden desaturations? I experience several of those many nights, down to 85% or lower. Thanks for any insight or suggestions.

Re: Pulse Oximeters for home use

. . . I plan to write a program that will read the serial port data and process it. My goal will be to make the program generic so it should accept input from various Pulse Oximeters, & to save the data in a database & allow several types of reports to be created including graphs. This program may ...

Of the tapes I've tried, 3M Micropore, a hypoallergenic surgical tape, 2" wide, works the best. It's a paper tape, easy on the skin, with just enough sticking power to work. I also reuse it a time or two, reducing the sticky further. As 3M brags, "Micropore tape is excellent for repeated application...

Data Collection Using GK420E/Silverlining

Does anyone using the GoodKnight 420E or 418P auto CPAP use the "Data Collection" function in the Silverlining software to record real-time data to their PC? Does anyone know what software can be used to analyze/display the collected real-time data? I'd like to see more detail regarding the night's ...
